The house is currently under refurbishment and upon completion in Spring / Summer 2014 it will be a four bedroom double fronted house. Photos currently displayed are of one half of the house only. There is a spacious lounge with dining area and fireplace housing a wood burner. There will be a further lounge room in addition upon completion of the refurbishment. The house boasts oak beams and terracotta tiles. A traditional spiral staircase leads off the living room to the beautiful master bedroom, complete with furniture from the nineteenth century. This room is also set off by the original beams and terracota tiles and has a tuffeau fireplace. The living rooms and master bedrooms both overlook the town square and fountain.
To the rear of the house a spacious kitchen can be found, with French doors opening on to the garden. There is grassy area and a patio with table and chairs. The property has two bathrooms. There is also a roof terrace directly from a rear bedroom for a couple to enjoy a private breakfast or a pre-dinner cocktail.
There are several restaurants and bars in the beautiful and extremely unqiue market town of Richelieu. They are all only a two or three minute stroll from the house, making it an ideal location for a relaxed break where you do not need to worry about driving and sacrificing Touraine wine for the evening!

"Charming house in a beautiful and quaint French town"
I enjoyed every aspect of my stay at this quaint French house. The house was very clean and tidy and nicely decorated and had ample space for myself and three friends. I loved the garden in particular which was well kept and private and was a lovely place to have breakfast in the sunshine. The town itself is pretty and historic and we spent some lovely afternoons sitting in cafes, wandering around the town enjoying its historic architecture and eating in the great restaurants during the evening. The town is also located very close to a wealth of chateau and vineyards and not far from the airport. I would definitely go back and I look forward to my next visit.
