“Absolutely brilliant”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2016

The accommodation was absolutely fantastic. Everything that you needed was catered for and little extras made a huge difference. The owners were a delight and made us feel very welcome. The location was superb and looked out on Gare Loch and was ideally situated to explore Loch Lomond and the Trossachs and even further afield.

“Wonderful Place to stay”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2015

A beautiful place to stay, very cosy and lovely views across Gare Loch. Lynn was very welcoming and helpful. The cupboards were stocked with various things and there was a Waitrose in Helensburgh. We were blessed with 5 days of sunshine and cloudless skies, couldn't believe it!!! We went to Inverary Castle and into the Town to the Jail, worth the trip. Day 2 to Luss on Loch Lomond and a boat trip too, Day three we went on a loop drive and had a walk around Brig o Turk. then called in at the Drovers for a drink at the top of Loch Lomond, a must just to see the place. Day 4 we stayed local and did a bit of walking around the area we stayed. Home on Day 5 via Stirling castle and the town, lovely place. All in all a lovely time,

“First Class Holiday Home”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2015

Both my husband and I would recommend this property to anyone holidaying in the Loch Lomond area. The Coach House is truly a home from home - even down to the robes and slippers provided. Lynn gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the property. She had kindly made up a booklet with all the relevant information we needed to know including recommending restaurants, shops etc. Helensburgh is an extremely beautiful area to visit with vast scenery - be sure to take a trip along the Glen Fruin road, it is breathtaking. We also enjoyed our visit to The Hill House - a Rennie MacKintosh designed home. We were extremely lucky with the weather - beautiful sunshine most of the 5 days we were there. Perfect place for a relaxing break.

“Wonderful, intimate and cosy”

Reviewed 1 Jan 2014

We travel to Scotland regularly and we will certainly give Lynn a call to see if the coach house is available. It's well equipped, lovely location for exploring and not too far from central Glasgow. The owners are close by if you require any assistance but it's unlikely as they have thought of everything. Till the next time

“Fabulous place, fabulous views, we will return”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2013

The only thing that I would have liked is a washer/dryer as there is room for one. It would not stop me returning to this lovely place though as there is an iron and ironing board and a launderette in Helensburgh. It is just that they have thought of pretty much everyting else it would have been a bonus. Also, I was aware before booking that there were no washing/drying facillities so this is not a complaint.

Really appreciate you taking the time to write this review. Washer/dryer has now been installed ready for your next visit!

“Beautiful and relaxing”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2013

We stayed in the Coach House for 9 nights and had a wonderful time. The place is fabulous if you want to enjoy beauty and luxury and feel completely comfortable. It has lots of little add-ons which make life nicer like an iPod docking station, a DVD player, dressing gowns and slippers. We were really lucky with the weather and enjoyed the beautiful view of the lovely garden and the Gareloch at all times of the day. We could even use the deckchairs and have dinner on the terrace. Sitting in front of the burning stove in the evenings was magic. Lynn who runs the place was very kind and during our stay made sure unobtrusively that everything was fine. We would love to come again.

“Stunning!”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2013

Aros Coach House exceeded our expectations, from the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Lynn who showed us how everything worked and if we needed anything throughout our stay, she was on-hand. Lynn has mastered the 'being there' without interferring with your holiday - we came and went throughout our 4 days stay The place was truly stunning - thought has been put into the furnishings, decor - everything was there to ensure we had a brilliant rest in 5* luxury 'the wee kelpie' in Helensburgh is also worth a mention - I challenge anyone to find a better fish n chips! All in all - everythin about our experience was REAL QUALITY - thanks Lynn x

“Perfect weekend break - comfort and style”

Reviewed 11 Nov 2012

The Coach House is absolutely lovely. The accommodation is all in one room (apart from the bathroom), but the layout makes the bedroom, kitchen, dining and living room areas into separate zones and the whole place feels comfortable and spacious. There's also a very private balcony off the kitchen / dining area. The furnishings are lovely: big sofas with fluffy cushions, spacious dining table, and very comfortable bed. We cooked several meals and enjoyed using the kitchen - much bigger and better equipped than most rental cottages. The bathroom is a wet room with a skylight - again, very well equipped and nice to use. We were there over a pretty cold and wet weekend, but were very comfortable - the central heating warms the place up very quickly and the log burning stove is great. The dvd, tv and wifi are all in good condition and worked well. The owners are friendly and welcoming, and they've done a lot to make the place feel comfortable and homely - spare tea lights for the candle holders, shampoo etc in the bathroom, and essentials in the kitchen were all nice touches. I would definitely like to stay here again!

“5 star stay!”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2012

Everything about our stay at the Coach House was perfect. You know you have arrived at a lovely place when you are greeted by the stunning look of the place from the outside. Plus the warm friendly welcoming from the owner who took us inside and showed us around the place. It was warm and cosy the perfect hideaway from the cold weather. Holiday was faultless hugely down to this place which I would definitely recommend for any couples looking for a perfect place to base themselves to explore Scotland. Loch Lomond is a short drive away but the surrounding area is beautiful in its own right. Which is seen every morning from the view you get from the Coach House. Wonderful stay.
