Description from owner

Seconds from the beach, with magnificent sand, sea and mountain views, Borth Esgob is in a perfect location, and its layout is ideal for more than one family to share.

At the end of a private road, next to the Anglesey coastal path, and just above a secluded beach, the house is an excellent base from which to enjoy the ever increasing activities of Anglesey and North Wales.

The advantage of Rhoscolyn is that it is only about 35 minutes drive from Snowdon, Zipworld, etc. but the weather is generally better, and the coastline is beautiful!

Borth Esgob underwent extensive modernisation in 2016/17, with new kitchen and bathrooms, windows, damproofing, re-wiring, heating, decoration, etc., but still retains its relaxing charm.

A mooring is also available.

“Borth Esgob Fantastic”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2019

We stayed here throughout the New Year and it is a beautiful place, the cottage is spacious and is decorated to a high standard, it can easily accommodate a large family and there are some lovely walks to do if you can drag yourself away from gorgeous views of the bay, I would definitely recommend this place and hope to return here.

We are a family of 7 including a 3 year old & a dog. We visited Borth Esgob from 22nd - 29th of December to celebrate Christmas. The house was absolutely stunning & had the most beautiful views of the beach & coastline from every window. Our dog particularly enjoyed her 2 daily walks on the white sandy beach which was yards away from the property. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could think of including lots of glasses, large glasses for wine ( always welcome!!) Cutlery, mugs, dinner sets, coffee machine ( pods) various sized coffee bodums, tea pots, cook ware, etc, etc. The American style fridge freezer was very useful for large families. The utility room housed a washing machine & a dryer which was helpful when you have a 3 year old with you. The 4 bathrooms were modern & the showers were powerful & always provided hot water. The sitting room was comfy & we were able to watch Netflix & Amazon prime on the large internet TV . The internet was fast which was great as some members of our family had to work during some of the days we were there. We loved all the artwork in the property & the little touches that made it feel very homely. The upstairs sitting room was lovely & felt very peaceful especially as I needed a few minutes away from the family downstairs on occasions!! There were plenty of games, books & children's games & jigsaw's. The house was very warm & had been decorated to a high standard. It was extremely clean & we felt very much at home from the time we arrived. Borth Esgob is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in & we would like to visit again. We have plenty of happy family memories from our week spent there If it ever goes on the market please let me know!!!

“Just brilliant!”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2018

We have stayed in Rhoscolyn for many years but this was our first visit to Borth Esgob. The owners have done a wonderful job refurbishing the cottage and the attention to detail (loads of tea spoons, every utensil you can think of, games, DVDs, flowers/wine!!) was brilliant. Plus the quality of fittings they have put in - like the super duper dishwasher, washer/dryer and extra large oven - made our stay that bit more comfortable and made our lives (we have 4 young children) much easier after a hard day at the beach! The access to Rhoscolyn beach is a stones through from the front door, we love being able to pop back and forth depending on the tide/weather. We have already booked to go back again - the owners and caretaker were great to talk/email to and were very helpful.

“Perfect Cottage, Perfect location”

Reviewed 18 Feb 2018

Just returned from our second visit to this beautiful cottage and we will just keep on coming back! The cottage is so homely and has everything to offer - can’t get any closer to the beach! We walked for miles

“Everything you could wish for”

Idyllic views over the moors and the sea. The accommodation was excellent, with every conceivable extra provided. We are all looking forward to returning next year. Would highly recommend.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your positive comments - they mean a lot to us. And thank you for leaving the house in such excellent condition - we would love to welcome you back!
