A beautifully presented apartment situated at the very centre of Gower. This is an excellent location to explore the many beautiful coves and beaches, the limestone hills and sandy heathlands of the first designated AONB. Local Gower ponies graze right up to the door and the sleepy position of this apartment enables you to dip in and out of the bustling seaside villages, amble across rocky coves or just gaze at the view from your own idyll.

This property has been renovated to a high standard and offers a luxurious yet homely feel. Situated a ten minute walk away from the renowned King Arthur Hotel, short drives will allow you to explore the many beautiful coves and award winning beaches. Mumbles village is twenty minutes drive away where you can browse amongst the many boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars, visit Oystermouth Castle or walk along the seafront promenade to The Pier. The night sky makes for exceptional viewing from the rear of the property, due to the large vista , views extend to the Devon coast . The almost total absence of street lighting on Gower make the opportunities for star gazing unbelievable.

Southern Wales region

Little Avalon is located at the heart of The Gower, Britains First Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Three Cliffs Bay. Rhossilli and Oxwich Bay, are but a few beaches on The Gower that consistently feature in Britains' Best Beaches listings.

Rhossilli Beach has just been voted Britains Bestr Bay (March 2014), it is also ranked as Europes No 3 beach and No 9 in the world!! Rhossilli Beach is merely a 15 minute drive from Little Avlalon, along quiet country roads. The area is protected from development and a as a consequence retains a special peaceful quality, hardly experienced anywhere in these busy days.

There are many walks, bridal ways and coastal paths to follow from the property, where it is possible to walk for hours without seeing a car or even another person!

The Gower is well serviced with bus links into Swansea and local services are all available in nearby Killay or The mumbles, a day out in itself with its pier, lifeboat and many individual shops, restaurants and cafes.

Little Avalon is only a 10 minute walk from Gowers' most favoured pub and restaurant The King Arthur Hotel, which serves great local food all day and many local beers and guest ales, to be enjoyed on The Common in front of the pub during summer, or around the roaring log fires during the cooler months. There is also a new restaurant opened on the beach at Oxwich Bay called The Coalhouse. The restaurant is located within the Mackewan-Campbell family estate of Penrice and many of the ingredients are sourced from within the estate and further afield on Gower itself. Although it was only opened in 2013, it has already achieved critical aclaim in The Sunday Times. Have a full meal, or a sundowner on the terrace at a truly stunning location.

The Gower is a real gem, yet only 30 minutes drive from the M4 motorway, come and experience it for yourself.

Located between Cardiff and West Wales, 30 minutes off the M4.

"Little Avalon- A little Gem in the heart of Gower!"

Enjoyed a fantastic week here in May. Very comfortable, quiet+ homely. Perfect location for exploring the Gower. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

"Lovely Apartment, can't help but keep going back!"

After many stays at Little Avalon I would recommend it to anyone. Juliette is always helpful and very knowledgeable about the area - it's always handy to have a local on your side! It's clean, beautifully furnished and couldn't be in a better position to enjoy the best of wales' beaches, pubs and countryside. Pop down the road to a number of stunning beaches and head to the King Arther just a 5 minute walk away afterwards for good local grub, just watch out for the free roaming horses, cows and sheep!
