The house and location were ideal for our purposes. When you have a big group it's nice to be able to spread out a bit and we found that the dining room, games room, conservatory and lounge all allowed people to "do their own thing" when they wanted to. The house was very well presented and the welcome pack got us going with teas and coffees as soon as we arrived. It was great to have things like oil for cooking in the kitchen as it is a real pain having to buy all the basics when you arrive. Also it was great having enough crockery and cutlery to be able to use the dishwasher and not be waiting for it to finish to use the stuff again.
Fortunately we had good weather, but I think we'd have been OK even if it had been raining. The 'Explosion Museum' had a 2 day event on, which everyone enjoyed and a trip across the ferry to visit HMS Victory and HMS Warrior was also a highlight. There seems to be a lot to do in the area and everyone in the party found something to their liking, including walking along towards the ferry along the front.
Our party on the Saturday evening for my wife's birthday was a great success, we did a Murder Mystery event and Lester the chef and his daughter did us proud with the catering. The food and service were both great and we started promptly at 8 which was impressive!
The booking process and making the arrangements for the weekend all worked very well. The information provided was very comprehensive - the floor plan was a good idea as I was able to allocate the rooms in advance. Thanks to Sophie in your office for all her efforts and patience and also to Alison making contact on the morning of our day of arrival to arrange meeting us at the property
To sum up I'd have to say that it was difficult to find fault with anything. Thank you very much for making it such an enjoyable experience. Thanks to everyone involved. - Sue and Geoff Fuller, April 2013
