“Brilliant stay at the Dairy House, April 2013...”

Reviewed 16 Apr 2013

Totally Brilliant - We all had a wonderful time! We really loved the house and location and found it to be really well equipped. The decor was great - often holiday homes are filled with leftovers but this certainly wasn't. We had 11 children under 8 years old and they loved the games room and being close to the sea, (despite the English Weather !!) We enjoyed a visit to the Explosion Museum and the beautiful walks along the water which was safe for kids and visited Lee-on-the-Solent and enjoyed the park at the beach, Gunwharf Quays plus The Pyramids Swimming Pool in Southsea - loads to do in very close proximity. The welcome pack was a great gesture and made a really nice start to our stay and Alison on arrival was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The staff at Complete were fantastic and we would definitely use them again. - Thank You, Hannah Granger, April 2013

“A great place to stay for a large group, convenient for London & South”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2013

The house and location were ideal for our purposes. When you have a big group it's nice to be able to spread out a bit and we found that the dining room, games room, conservatory and lounge all allowed people to "do their own thing" when they wanted to. The house was very well presented and the welcome pack got us going with teas and coffees as soon as we arrived. It was great to have things like oil for cooking in the kitchen as it is a real pain having to buy all the basics when you arrive. Also it was great having enough crockery and cutlery to be able to use the dishwasher and not be waiting for it to finish to use the stuff again. Fortunately we had good weather, but I think we'd have been OK even if it had been raining. The 'Explosion Museum' had a 2 day event on, which everyone enjoyed and a trip across the ferry to visit HMS Victory and HMS Warrior was also a highlight. There seems to be a lot to do in the area and everyone in the party found something to their liking, including walking along towards the ferry along the front. Our party on the Saturday evening for my wife's birthday was a great success, we did a Murder Mystery event and Lester the chef and his daughter did us proud with the catering. The food and service were both great and we started promptly at 8 which was impressive! The booking process and making the arrangements for the weekend all worked very well. The information provided was very comprehensive - the floor plan was a good idea as I was able to allocate the rooms in advance. Thanks to Sophie in your office for all her efforts and patience and also to Alison making contact on the morning of our day of arrival to arrange meeting us at the property To sum up I'd have to say that it was difficult to find fault with anything. Thank you very much for making it such an enjoyable experience. Thanks to everyone involved. - Sue and Geoff Fuller, April 2013

“Ideal big house for a big party”

A great 70th birthday surrounded by lots of relations of all ages from 2 - 87 years !! Lovely house, well furnished and well decorated, complete in every respect, especially the kitchen, everything we needed was here. The area, Gosport and Portsmouth are where many of our ancestors were born and lived so we were able to re-discover the old haunts. Completes staff and administration were great, thank you. “Fantastic weekend break”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2013

We had a great stay at this amazing property, everyone commented on how lovely the place was, the perfect venue for the girls to have a chilled hen weekend.  The facilities were brilliant, with the large dining table that we could enjoy meals around and the games room was a great added extra. The house was spacious and spotlessly clean with comfortable rooms and plenty of communal areas and a short distance to some lovely pubs and the ferry to Gunwarf Quays.  Thank you for making our stay so brilliant, will definitely keep it in mind for the future. - Helen - March 2013

“A great home to meet up with friends - to laugh, drink and eat.”

Thank you Sophie - We all had a lovely time and it would be very hard to find fault with the house at all. It was so clean, and comfortable and we loved the games room. The bedrooms were lovely, a good size and no one felt cramped. The kitchen was possibly smaller than we expected but we managed - what a lovely big oven! We all enjoyed ourself and we are hoping that our group in now motivated for large holidays again, but someone else can organise this time! The office staff - yourself and Ken - have always been very, very helpful and pleasant. The administration has been excellent - easy and no hiccups. Alison was also very pleasant and matter of fact when she greeted us and just let us get on with things very quickly. There were no real "don'ts" (house rules) and we didn't feel told or "warned", which was nice. - Mary Law, March 2013

“Great setting for a large family gathering - all generations safe and happy”

Reviewed 28 Feb 2013

The house completely fulfilled our expectations and we had a lovely family weekend there and it felt free of hazards for our under 3's. We found it clean, comfortable and well equipped - the only thing we could not find were kitchen scales and a second cafetiere would be good too. Overall our stay was a great success with trips out to the Historic Dockyard and Queen Elizabeth country park - also the Jolly Roger Pub which was great. Many thanks to you and your team for all your hard work - Charles Campion-Smith and family - Feb 2013

“Great house for a large family gathering”

When we arrived the bedrooms were set up perfectly as we had agreed before hand. The house had all teh facilities needed as was very good value for money. We were unable to use the garden as it was typical British February but it looked like it would be a good place in the summer! There was plenty of space for everyone (17 adults and 5 children under 3) to sit and have dinner and the games room and lounge meant that we did not end up on top of each other all the time! All in all a great house which is well organised and maintained!

“Top notch house for big groups”

I would like to say how impressed I (and all the guests) were with the Dairy House - it really made for a fantastic weekend and the 'welcome basket' was really appreciated. All the bedrooms were great and the bedding and towels were top notch! I initially thought the kitchen was a little small compared to the rest of the house, but it was more than adequate for what we needed and the additional huge cooking pots were so useful. The table (the biggest I have ever seen!) was fantastic and great to be able to fit everyone round it all at once and the games room was also a real hit- the Wii in particular. - Chris Baker - February 2013

“Fantastic house in a great location”

Reviewed 1 Feb 2013

There were 14 of us staying at The Dairy House and so it was important that the bedrooms were fairly equal in size and importance, and that there were plenty of bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable which was a huge bonus and all beautifully furnished. The four sets of keys was a good idea - we have struggled with not enough keys in the past. We used the games room a fair bit - the Wii was fun and the pool table got plenty of use and the lounge was very comfortable with a good view over the harbour. The decor was superb throughout and the rooms very nicely finished and everything worked. Very well equipped kitchen and cleaned to a very high standard. Welcome pack a nice touch - everyone loved that. The location is good and the walk to the ferry was very scenic and historically interesting. Lots to do in the area so something for everyone. We would definitely use you again and were impressed with all of our contact with you. You always responded quickly and were very helpful. Highly recommended, thank you.
