“An outstanding apartment in the heart of Bath”

Reviewed 3 Nov 2013

Read the directions to the apartment - it's easy to miss on first acquaintance. Once there the flat was exactly what we wanted - a comfortable living space, good amenities if you wish to cook and dine in-house, but less than 10 minutes walk and you cross Pulteney bridge into the heart of Bath. The flat is immaculately presented, and there is plenty of space and it's quiet as well - despite the proximity to a main road there was no traffic noise inside. We will be using it again.

“Perfect place for you to enjoy Bath and the local region!!!”

We booked up fairly late after searching for quality accommodation in various cities. With Number 3 we found a gem of an apartment in a great location. Immaculately presented and comfortably furnished it we couldn't fault it. Alison met us just after we arrived and took us through the bits and bobs that were relevant to the apartment. We all enjoyed the welcome pack with breakfast items - the bread was amazing!. Despite the rainy weather we had a very pleasant weekend stay and recommend Number 3 to everyone who would like a taste of luxury.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your lovely review! I am sorry we couldn't do anything about the weather but we will try harder next time! Hope to see you again.

“Great family stay in Bath in quiet and luxury apartment”

Reviewed 20 Sep 2013

We booked two nights in 3 Herschel Place with my partner and parents, welcomed by the very friendly owner, Alison, on arrival. The apartment is lovely, situated in a old Georgian sandstone building with own car parking space and less than 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Loved every aspect of it and will return with other friends.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure to meet you and your parents and to hear that they liked Bath. Do come again!

“Great place to stay”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2013

We have just returned from a weekend at Number 3 and had a great stay. Alison was very friendly and helpful and there to greet us when we arrived. The apartment was spotless, tastefully decorated, well equipped and had all the little extras you could ask for including the first morning's breakfast with fresh bread and there were toiletries in the bathrooms. There was an off road parking space outside for our car so we walked into the city centre which was only about a ten minute walk away. There was plenty of helpful information about the city, the area and nearby restaurants in the lounge. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Bath.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review. I'm very pleased you enjoyed yourselves and look forward to seeing you again!

“Convenient and cosy.”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2013

The owners of this apartment provided an excellent level of service. The apartment itself was presented in immaculate condition and it was beautifully furnished ;a wide variety of services were offered, including arranging for shopping to be delivered ready for your arrival, making bookings at the theatre or restaurant, booking a session at Thermae Spa and arranging delivery of some rather nice looking and high end "ready meals". The owners were very efficient and professional in their approach and took a lot of trouble to make sure we had a good experience at Herschel Place The apartment had everything you could want and was very convenient for Bath city centre, about 10 or 15 minutes steady walk into town. It is on quite a busy road but the double glazing is very effective and traffic noise is not a problem. A big plus of this apartment is the parking place at the rear which I think is a very useful in a city like Bath where parking is limited and expensive. The three televisions seemed a little too generous but, with two teenagers in tow, we used them all; the wi-fi was well used too! It definitely stopped any arguments about what to watch! We can definitely recommend this apartment. It is a luxurious and convenient base for exploring Bath

Owner's reply: Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay and that our efforts have paid off! Do come again.

“Must stay here, better than a 5 star hotel.”

This apartment is a short walk into the ctr of Bath. Its has been totally renovated and is the equivalent to a 4/5 star hotel which would cost four times the amount. There is a full working kitchen/… More

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your review. I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to meeting you again when you next come to Bath!

“Lovely apartment within easy walking distance of Bath city centre”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2013

Alison the owner/manager was very helpful, the property is a lower ground floor apartment beautifully appointed. It is on a busy road but is well sound-proofed so the noise wasn't intrusive and on a cold week it was lovely and warm. The beds are extremely comfortable. It felt like a real treat to stay there and it was easy to both cook for ourselves and eat out! Bath city is only 5-10 minutes walk away which is a bonus. We saw different parts nearly every day (I think one day we just stayed inside because it tipped it down with rain!) and visited both art galleries. We especially enjoyed 2 mornings at the Thermae Spa and thoroughly recommend the treatments as well for a special treat.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay. Although the apartment is a ground floor apartment, with no steps either into the apartment or inside, the road at the back of the apartment is raised, making the bedrooms and outside storage area partially below the level of the road. Thank you for noting the lack of traffic noise, which is partly a result of this design. The Spa is a pleasure - I hope you felt thoroughly relaxed after your treatments, as I did when I went!

“Exceeded expectations!”

It looks great - and it is great. Fabulously modern apartment, with great facilities and versatile accommodation. Spotlessly clean, easy access and the owners were very accommodating. The pre visit admin was very easy and lots of help and ideas were offered, including arranging spa visits and groceries on arrival (if required) from Waitrose!! Despite this being self catering, breakfast was provided for the first day, which was very welcome. Easy access to Bath central itself - about a 5 minute walk (depending on ability of course) and also easy access to routes in and out of Bath.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your lovely review! I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay. We do try to offer good service and accommodation - everyone deserves a good holiday - so it is great to hear everything went well!
