From the very start Sharon (the owner) was very helpful and quick to respond to all our enquiries - that is always reassuring!
The villa itself is lovely. It's a large villa in a brilliant location. It contains everything you could desire from large open eating and relaxing areas, through to dishwasher; washing machine, tumble dryer; iron; lots of dinner wear; powerful showers; large jacuzzi bath; private sun deck with sea views off the master bedroom; very comfortable bed; large bedrooms; a big TV room; TV and DVD player in the mater bedroom; fast internet connection, secure safe etc...
But the real bonus is the outside space, it's brilliant! The high-walled and secure garden affords good privacy, the pool is brilliant and a very good size and the area around the pool is an all day sun trap! There is also a large utility room by the pool that contains a toilet, shower and sink. Which is very handy! A beautiful outside dining area which is partially sheltered so you are covered for the breeze which can get reasonably strong at night in Fuerteventura, the dining area has the back drop of one of the many extinct volcanoes on the island (see photos).
As for the island itself, it never disappoints. One of the less busy canary islands but still with more than enough to keep you entertained and with some of the most beautiful beaches going. The Villa is only a very short walk from the town with it's many shops, bars and restaurants and beaches. Although, the best beaches are to be found by either a 5 min drive to the huge sand dunes beach (amazing) or if you would rather something a bit wilder then a 15 min drive to El Cotillo, with it's many lagoons etc (also for some incredible sunsets!). Food options are generally very good, with some great places to be found around the old part of the town by the harbour. Food and drink prices are very reasonable.
All in all we really couldn't fault it and are looking forward to the next time we get the opportunity to return.
