Retallack

The beautiful River Camel estuary and the Camel Trail cycleway connects the delightful and picturesque towns of Wadebridge and Padstow. From your holiday home base the fishing town of Padstow which has now become famous through Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant, his cafes and shops, is a gastronomic haven. Wadebridge town has enjoyed a resurgence in its fortune through the prosperity of Padstow and both are well worth a visit whilst on holiday in Cornwall.Away from your self catering accommodation you can enjoy river and sea cruises to spot the local coastal wildlife, fishing or just take the family to the many beaches around Padstow, or take a ferry from Padstow harbour to Rock made popular with the London Café Society. The late poet Laureate John Betjeman wrote poems about his beloved North Cornwall and is buried in St Enodoc churchyard which you can visit on one of the many lovely walks around the coastline.Wadebridge used to be a market town but now bustles with lovely modern shops and restaurants and nearby it hosts the Royal Cornwall Show every June time. The expansion of Newquay Airport has seen Wadebridge and Padstow gain popularity and with Newquay only 20 minutes away by car it is now the surfing capital of the UK. Also by car you can visit the Eden Project near St Austell and the spectacular scenery of Bodmin Moor and Jamaica Inn is certainly worth a visit.

“Retallack is a great place to stay.”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2016

The lodges are spacious, modern and well equipped. The location is perfect, close to beaches and Padstow.Although the lodge was privately owned, Retallack still allowed us to use the facilties on site including passes for the swimming pool.

Thank you for your review of Benasa Lodge. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at the lodge and we look forward to seeing you again next year. Kind regards, The SCC Booking Team

“This lodge is fantastic”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2015

We stayed here for 7 nights with our son daughter in law and four kids. There is so much room in this lodge there is no need to get under each others feet if you need a bit of quiet time. The lodge has everything you could wish for from a well equipped kitchen to games for the whole family to play. The beds and bed linen is exceptional and I would not hesitate to recommend benassa 65 to anyone.

Thank you for your positive review of Benasa Lodge. The owners try hard to make sure all guests enjoy the property and the whole self catering experience. They will be very pleased with your comments. We look forward to seeing you again soon! Kind regards, The SCC Booking Team

“Excellent”

Excellent accommodation very well equipped especially for taking picnics out, loved the enclosed outdoor space due to having small children & a dog. Have already recommend to a friend & will definitely stay there again.

“Great place to stay with two families”

Reviewed 16 Apr 2013

Excellent Lodge, brilliantly kitted out with everything you need. Works brilliantly for 2 families having enough bed room space downstairs for you to have your own seperate areas as well as communal areas. Site was good although we missed there being a shop for urgent things although you are brilliantly close to Padstow and Wadebridge so not a problem. Best family holiday we have had with all our little ones. Great venue - Will seek to go again if we can.

“Everything that you needed”

We stayed here for a New Year break with family and four children aged 3-10 years. The lodge was clean and very well equipped, all mod cons and there was nothing that we needed except some dry days!

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We have noted your positive feedback and we have advised the owner accordingly. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Kind regards from the SCC Booking Team

“Fabulous central place to stay for exploring this part of Cornwall”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2012

Property very spacious for 2 families such as ours which included 11 and 13 yr old. The onsite park was a hit although 13 yr old could have done with ball space which is limited.Wifi limited.Shopping on site very limited. Cannot fault property which was immaculate. Nice having beds made up and clean towels. Location was good for days out , Holywell Bay and Padstow a hit amongst other lovely beaches.Lots of garages so getting petrol no problem.

Thank you for taking the time to send this very positive feedback. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Kind regards SCC Booking Team
