Description

Brit House believed to have been originally built in the 1860’s and one time residence of Baron Frederick Hounsell Dammers, has been lovingly renovated to a beautiful standard. Sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms, all with en-suite and offers outstanding views of the Broadland around. Sitting on the quiet Southern river Yare in Reedham this large corner plot is great for family get togethers.

This is an amazing setting to spend your holidays with plenty of space for all the family. A huge garden on the river front for everyone to enjoy, and just walking distance to Reedham village with its 2 pubs (will be 3 later in 2015 when refurbishment of The Nelson is completed), a Post Office including a small grocery shop, as well as a fish and chip shop that opens Thurs, Fri and Sat.

Please note our minimum stay is 3 nights and the minimum is £1000, not a nightly price as show by TripAdvisor or HolidayLettings.

Location description from manager

The East Anglia region

The Norfolk Broads is a network of inland water ways. It attracts many visitors wishing to enjoy the scenery, wildlife (especially birds), watersports, beaches, cycling (it's quite flat!) and charm of the area.

Reedham

This picturesque village is also home to the excellent Humpty Dumpty brewery with its well stocked shop selling wines and ciders as well as many locally produced beers. There is also Pettitts Adventure Park where there are rides galore for young children, family entertainment, exotic and domestic animals and birds to see as well as animals to feed and pet.

Bird watchers will appreciate the provision of a tripod mounted 22-67 x 100 spotting scope, which should enhance views of the marsh harriers which can often be seen roaming the open vistas perfectly appreciated from Brit House’s beautiful balcony.

A stay at Brit House really does offer everything you could want, there is even a train station within walking distance for those that want to visit Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft or Norwich without having to take the car.

Reedham has good local amenities, the property is within walking distance from 3 local pubs both serving food. The village itself has a fish and chip shop, railway station, local shop & Post Office, cafe & ice cream shop.

Norwich is only a train ride away (or 17 miles by car) and Pettits for the children "There are rides galore for young children, family entertainment, exotic and domestic animals and birds to see as well as animals to feed and pet" is just on the other side of the village. Great Yarmouth and the infamous Golden Mile is also only a train or car journey away with lovely sandy beaches and plenty to do for the children.

Fantastic house, well situated between two (now three) pubs - all within walking diastase. Everything you need is in the house. It is a top quality refurbishment and appliances, kitchen equipment, beds all top quality. Pub food was fantastic as well. Only stayed for bank holiday weekend but would have loved to have stayed for a week or more. Very relaxing overlooking the river. We all want to return - 12 of us - hopefully our diaries will allow! Cant rate this place highly enough.

Dear Evelyn, Many thanks for your lovely review. If you manage to co-ordinate your diaries, and would like help arranging a return visit, you could call us in the office and we will be happy to help. Kind Regards The Team @ Riverside Rentals
