“Superb accommodation & best place right at the sea for families, little groups & active travellers!”

Reviewed 8 Jan 2015

We were 2 adults and our 6 year old son from Germany. We drove to the house with a hired airport-transfer which was round about 40 € (one way) für all of us together, since there is no bus going directly into the town (which is actually very nice). Actually Razanj itself is more a village than a town (i think it used to be a fisher village a few decades ago). This place is NOT yet an overcrowded tourist place! Actually, it's a little insider's tip. The house is located directly in Razanj at the sea (means the house owns it's own gutter and landing stage. The owners are a very friendly and intellectual family, located half in Razanj and half in Germany, so they also speak englisch and german very well. We rented one of the cabins right next to the main house, which provides 2 single beds (which can be arranged into one large bed), a sink/washing facility & several shelves for clothes. The shower and the Toilet is detached near the cabins and provides everything you need. There is a wonderful outdoor-kitchen seating area with the most magnificent view at the sea and a little kitchen house just a few meters away from the cabin which you share with the other guests and which allowes you to get to know the other guests or cook together or have meals together. This is the place where everybody meets during the day and it was my favorite place to be (besides the bathing in sea) during our stay. There is WiFi too! SInce the cabin is very affordable in it's price you also pay a little fee per person for water/electricity, but it's still a very fair and affordable price for backpackers, young families and active people like us. If your budget is bigger, they also rent 2 flats in the house, i think one smaller and one bigger (I only saw the smaller one). Again, the sea is right in front of the houses' door, so skip the shower, jump right into the sea like we did! :) We have never seen any cleaner sea water than here! You can also go diving or make little trips with a boat to some of those little islands or take long walks through the nice scenery. The little town center of Razanj is 5 minutes away (to walk) and provides a little supermarket, at least 2 cafes and 2 restaurants. Sometimes there's a little market on the town center where we bought self made wine and even more nicer vegetables and fruits or fresh fish than in the supermarket. Ask the owner of the house where in the little village to buy the best olive oil or the best wine of the season! Only 2 minutes from the house there is the landing stage for the boat that leaves almost every 2 hours for some towns/bigger villages in the neighbourhood like Rogodniza where there are eben more supermarkets, marketplaces, restaurants, familiy activity facilities and cafes. We had a very chilling and recreating holiday and we will come back!! (excuse my englisch, it's not my native tongue)
