Switzerland has a high standard of living with many taxes. For your information, the included costs (not limited to other fees and taxes such as garbage bag tax, mountain water tax, Internet/TV) are: Tourist tax, 3.20CHF per person per night (e.g.32CHF for 2 people for 5 nights) hosting and cleaning around 160CHF.
• For children under 11: we will provide a play Heavenly hideaway tent, limited toys like Duplo, colouring books and pencils, playing cards. For children under 3 years: we provide in addition to the above: high chair, toilet step stool, Baby bath 84 cm (33”), pack & play travel cot and Diaper bags and convenient separate diaper “ historic Milk Can” waste bin on balcony.
• Safety thoughts: electrical sockets have plugs, some child proof drawer closures in place, but we do not guarantee their success against your young Einstein-like children. 2 main front doors of building can only be access from outside with a key but can be opened from the inside without a key. Windows can be opened with child safety in mind. Windows also have roller steel shutters that block out light (very good in summer when you want your young ones to sleep) also there are curtains that you can pull across to show your children that it is time to sleep. Carport to building front door is flat, about 20 meters and then 4 steps to front door that is locked. Then 16 stairs to first floor. Laundry had storage room for pram or even in stairwell below front door you will see other prams there. Because the front and ski door is locked, it is safe to store your prams there. Balcony has door that opens vertically so that you can get air into the apartment but children cannot wander out to balcony. Balcony has a space at base, a board than a space of comes inches to the rail – see photo in gallery. Children always need supervision on the balcony as there are chairs there, despite the high balcony rail, parent need to be there at all times with their children. No live plants indoors. All windows are lockable, sharp knives and kitchen appliances are up out of reach, no toddler head high table corners, some floor lamp flex cords are there.
• Fire extinguisher, blanket, CO2 and smoke detectors there, basic first aid kit and card with emergency phone numbers. Doctor is available 24 hours in village. Nearest Pharmacy is by train to Wengen or train /car to Interlaken.
