All three bedrooms on the 1st floor have patio doors leading out onto the terrace with beautiful views of the garden.

Downstairs there are two further bedrooms, one twin and one double and a family bathroom. The has fitted hand rails on the wall above the bath to help you in and out.

There is a fully fitted kitchen complete with dish washer and washing machine, microwave and large fridge freezer and all the customary gadgets. Leading through an arch to a separate dining room with seating for 8 (this is our least used room as most guests like to eat outside and enjoy the lovely sunshine).

Off the kitchen is the lounge with leather sofas. English tv with 7 day catch up, box sets and up to date movies, also a dvd player. We have stacks of dvds for your enjoyment.

We have free internet access available via cable or wifi.

In the tranquil gardens is a larger than average, 10 x 5 metre swimming pool with roman steps to get in easily ( a must for small children or the less able) Surrounding the pool is a large patio area complete with sun loungers for that all important tan! The garden is enclosed by a high wall and has an electric gate.

We also have a table tennis table (fantastic for entertaining the youngsters or a bit of keep fit)

On the lawn there is an ornate table and chairs along with the stone Spanish BBQ, perfect for dining alfresco.

We also have a large covered porch area with comfortable seating, perfect for chilling out with a cool glass of sangria or beer. Here there is another dining area, seating 10 for those who prefer to eat in the shade.

We are 6 minutes by car to the beach which means you can enjoy all the joys of the seaside, but not the noise when you just want to relax in your own garden. There are 3 supermarkets just down the road, including Lidel and Mercadona. There are several Spanish ventas and restaurants and also a pharmacy nearby.

The Costa de la Luz region

Welcome to the Costa de la Luz- the coast of light. So called because it is so sunny. It is the province of Andalucia where you can discover a true taste of Spain. Traditional flamenco dancing and tapas are wonderful here.

The beaches are just fantastic ranging from the ideal family beach with gently sloping sands and gentle seas, to the craggy coastline dominated by rugged coves and cliffs which are fantastic for snorkelling and fishing. It is the Atlantic ocean and is beautifully clear and aquamarine in colour.

We have lovely short winters with plenty of sunshine so we spend lots of time out of doors – strolling along the long sandy beaches, playing golf, sailing, taking part in one of the many local fiestas or my favourite - just sitting on the terrace of a bar, enjoying the local food and wine.

Festivals - well Spain is just full of them. Ladies and children dress in colourful flamenco costumes, many on beautiful horses. Its a great chance to enjoy tapas, drink the local sherries and dance - watch the locals dance Sevillanas, the traditional flamenco dance. It is such a great experience and a shame to miss.

Jerez Motor GP in the early spring. If you are looking for somewhere to stay for the motor GP, then look no further. Our villa is superbly situated, only 30 minutes to the track in Jerez and 6 minutes to the beach. Most importantly an automatic gate to keep your bikes secure. Why not get a group together?

The best things about this coast are the glorious beaches, unspoilt towns and villages, dramatic sunsets and huge nature reserves. You may not find an all-night foam party but you can dance on the beach till dawn, sample the locally made sherries and savour some of the best food in Spain.

If golf is what you are looking for then Andalucia is a must! There are 10 golf courses, including 4 championship courses, all within 40 minutes drive, from the villa. You can hire a car yourself or we can organise a full package for you including transportation. Your clubs will always be fully secure inside our gated walls. Chiclana one of the sunniest places in Spain and has ideal weather for golf.

So much to see so little time to see it

Rana Verde

Chiclana is an typical old Andalucian town with an interesting history and access to some of the best beaches in all of Spain. The town has a wide range of shops as well as bars, restaurants, markets and sherry bodegas. In the town centre you'll find narrow streets and courtyards filled with flowers - typical of this region of Spain.

The centre, located around the town hall square and the covered market, is bustling and lively. The market has an array of fruit and vegetables, fish and meat stalls. Also a weekly market with all your holiday must buys!

Villa Aurora is an excellent base for touring Andalusia. Seville, Gibraltar, Bolonia, Caños de Meca and the Pueblos Blancos all a great day out and not far away. Here are a few of my favourite things to do:

1. Watch the fantastic horse show in the Real Escuela del Arte Andaluz in Jerez.. No one should miss these magnificent dancing stallions and the riders in all their finery
2. Take the ferry over to Morocco, Africa for the day - ride a camel or haggle in the markets for a bargain
3. Drive to Gibraltar (90 mins) and do some tax free shopping, take a cable car ride, visit the famous rock, Barbary apes and caves
4. Visit Jerez (40 mins), world famous for its flamenco, sherry & brandy bodegas! I can recommend a visit to the Tio Pepe bodega for an organised tour.
5. For the kids there is the Isla Magica theme park in Seville, a zoo and crocodile farm in Jerez and a waterpark in Puerto de Santa Maria (and don´t forget crabbing in the rock pools)
6. Drive into the mountains and visit a (pueblo blanco) white village such as Arcos with its magnificent cliff views, ancient Medina Sidonia or hill-top Vejer de la Frontera with its cobblestone streets and beautiful plaza.
7. Take a boat trip up the Guadalquivir river to the Donana natural park to see the spectacular wildlife including flamingoes galore.
8. Visit Bolonia and see the ancient Roman ruins and huge sand dues with views of Morroco.
9. G to the oldest city in Europe, Cadiz and explore an enchanting spider web of narrow alleyways dotted with atmospheric tavernas
10. Watch a fantastic flamenco show whilst eating tapas on a warm sultry evening

If you wish to do some sport whilst you are here the choice is huge.

Sailing and Windsurfing: there is a large marina at Novo Sancti Petri and also a windsurfing school.
Golf:: As mentioned above the choice is huge.
Horse riding : the length and beauty of the beaches make them ideal for a long horse ride or a stroll through the pine forrestis so romantic.
Tennis/Padel : There are several clubs in Chiclana where you can play.
Bike riding. We have many official tourist routes here in Chiclana. Available to hire locally
Fishing: The altantic is full of fish and you can find plenty of trips in Chiclana and Cadiz including shark fishing.
Bird watching: This is also the best part of Spain to see all the bird life.

Spain is renowned for its fiestas. Chiclana is no exception and tapas, processions, bullfighting and flamenco are part of every life in Chiclana. If you are in the area around June the13 Feria is a must! You will see all the old customs, flamenco dresses and caballero hats. Going from stall to stall, you will hear flamenco singing and dancing and of course a fun fair that is out of this world.

Walking: Chiclana has a tourist route known as The Seven Magical Places of Chiclana. More information can be given on arrival.

Our villa is set right in the middle between the town of Chiclana and the beaches and golf courses of Barrossa. It is a lovely secluded residential area set amongst pine trees.

A perfect location to start your holiday or base for your golfing expedition.

“A perfect house for an extended family holiday”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2015

This property is ideal for a large family. It has wonderful outdoor living which meant we spent very little time indoors. The pool is great and the garden pretty and very well maintained. The beautiful La Barossa beach is close by and easy to get to. The owners Jan and Greg responded immediately to any problems that we had and were always very friendly and helpful. The welcome pack was just that, welcome and thoughtful. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The children enjoyed the DVD's and books available. I would highly recommend this property and would certainly consider staying here again were we to return to Chiclana.

Really pleased you had a good holiday. Thanks X

“All the amenities of being at home - but in a wonderful setting, with swimming pool!”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2015

The house, garden and pool couldn't have been in better condition and there was everything we could possibly want during our stay. Jan and Greg were extremely helpful and their over riding concern was to make sure we enjoyed our holiday as much as we possibly could. Nothing was too much trouble and all their recommendations were good ones! The house really felt like a home and everything was designed to make for a relaxing stay. We would certainly come back again - in a week we weren't really able to do more than scratch the surface of places to go and restaurants to eat at in the area! Cadiz, Medina de Sidonia and Jerez de la Frontera are all within an easy drive from the villa and if it's a beach or a pool you want, then this is the place to go; particularly if you enjoy reading - we've never had such a large selection of books to choose from (adult and children's). We would definitely recommend it.

Brilliant! Thanks so much. Glad you had a great time. X

“Lovely villa”

Reviewed 25 Jun 2015

This 5 bed villa is lovely, nice and clean everything is in it which you need, there was a lovely welcome pack, consisting of a bit of everything you needed when first arriving. The owners were great and answered any questions we had. The one and only downside for us as a family with a toddler, was the unfenced pool. We didn't think this would be a problem as there was 6 adults, but this proved to be a constant worry and of course somebody could not sit down and relax at all! Oh and some of the beautiful cacti were extremely sharp and had to watch the children with these as well., Although the owner did allow us to move some of the bad ones out of reach. All in all a lovely villa, ideal for families with older children especially.

Thank you and I am glad that you had a good holiday.

“The best villa to date.”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2014

We had a great holiday. The villa was great and had everything we needed. We had a good welcome pack left for us and the owners were always available if we needed anything. We were well looked after and the only down side was that we had to leave and come home again. I could easily of stayed. Thank you Jan and Greg.

Thank you very much. We would love to see you here again some day. x

“Excellent”

Reviewed 23 Sep 2014

Very comfortable and clean, conveniently positioned for all amenities, owners were welcoming and friendly, family friendly, spacious, pool was large, clean and was enjoyable to use, we had a three year old with us who thoroughly enjoyed himself - he was never out of our sight due to the villa being enclosed, which gave us peace of mind. We would highly recommend this villa for families and groups of friends. Would book again.

Thanks very much guys. Hope to see you again one day! Kind regards Jan and Greg

“Aurora Villa suited our needs perfectly”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2014

Eight people stayed in Aurora Villa age range one to sixty two and we were all happy with the facilities. With two downstairs bedrooms and a bathroom it meant the two children and their parents could sleep downstairs and not have to keep going upstairs when the children were having their naps. A car is essential for visiting the beach and restaurants

Thanks guys Seem to have lost half the review but never mind. Kind regards Jan and Greg

“Ideal base for a holiday”

Reviewed 15 Jun 2014

We booked Villa Aurora at the last minute and found the process via TripAdvisor very straightforward. I paid directly by bank transfer which was secure and my deposit was returned swiftly via the same route. The Villa's description was accurate and very well equipped. It suited our party of seven easily and would suit a couple of families. The welcome pack covered our first meal easily and made our arrival very welcoming. Jan and Greg are warm and friendly and made us feel at ease. The kitchen is very well equipped and the outdoor barbecue is easy to use. The Villa is located near to a couple of supermarkets and a short drive to the centre of Chiclana and the beaches. A car is essential to get around as the nearest facilities are too far to walk especially in the heat. We felt a local map is essential. In conclusion we thought this was an ideal base to enjoy the sun and explore the local area.

Thank you Hugh Have a good summer Regards Jan

“A beautiful villa made homely and welcoming by 2 fantastic hosts”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2014

Jan and Greg's villa lived up to and exceeded the expectation I had when my mum told she was planning to organise a family holiday to Chiclana. A beautiful home inside and out and the generosity shown by way of directions, availibility for contact and a fantastic welcome hamper just added to the perfect holiday. A lovely well kept pool, BBQ, outdoor dining area and a table tennis table along with a vast array of books, videos and DVD's were some of the things that completed the wonderful holiday had by all. Located not too far from all amenities and the beach is not too far either. Perfect :)

Thanks very much Lynn Hope your mum is much better. Hopefully see you again one day. Kind regards Jan and Greg

“Love, love, love can not wait to go back”

Reviewed 31 May 2014

Many people say places are home from home however there are no truer words for villa aurora. Having a young family we took the decision to go for a villa, neither my husband or myself had holiday'd this way before but took the gamble and boy I am glad we did. Jan and Greg met us at the villa on the first night with a warm welcome and arriving quite late they had left a welcome package which was just what the doctor ordered. The villa had everything we needed and so much more right down to a blender for my 7month olds food. My 3 year old absolutely loved the pool and also that there was Spiderman dvds. For the adults the villas bedrooms had plenty of storage the fully equipped kitchen/BBQ were fantastic and ofcourse the pool and table tennis brought many a laugh. I also loved that all linen and towels including pool towels are provided I can not wait to go back and wouldnt hesitate and already have recommend to friends

Thanks guys. Glad you have been converted. Lovely to meet some people from my neck of the woods. I may bump into you when I visit my sister some times. Have a good summer and hopefully see you again one day. Thanks again Jan
