Outside, in the tastefully created two acre gardens, you can relive childhood experiences on the swing, or relax in one of the two summerhouses with a complimentary drink or a snack, or maybe climb among the trees into our unique treehouse and even higher viewing platform and immerse yourself in the peace and quiet of the rustling leaves as you enjoy another complimentary glass of wine. Maybe a game of croquet or bouclé is more to our taste, or just sit and relax admiring the beautiful panoramic views of the hills from one of our viewing platforms. For the more energetic why not use one of our popular self guided walks to walk to the shore, or enter the mysterious world of the wallabies just a few minutes away. They appeared on the BBC 'One Show' ~ 'the only place in the Northern hemisphere where a wild wallaby population is self sustaining' ~ but they regularly appear for our guests in the nearby ASSI and 'Ramsar' internationally important wetlands. After that you can start exploring our wonderful Isle of Man!

The Isle of Man region

In the heart of the British Isles and hidden under Manannan's cloak in the middle of the Irish Sea the Isle of Man is a hidden jewel just wailting to be discovered. Whether it is visiting the wonderul heritage sites, or enjoying a ride on the historic railways, or exploring the hills and glens, relaxing on the sandy beaches or just enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside, you will return wish to return again and again,

Ramsey

“Absolutely brilliant.”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2016

Absolutely brilliant. I little difficult to locate if your first time is in the dark, but that is taken care of by the Hosts standing by to come out to you and guide you in if you do find yourself in the wrong lane as we did. We just phoned them at about 11pm, and they knew exactly where we were and within a few minutes were there to guide us back to the cottage. The cottage was far better than we ever expected and we found that our hosts had done over and above what any other hosts had done through the years. There were provisions in the cupboard and fridge to get us started for a few days, and a large basket of fruit and some sweets and wine, and chocolate, were in the lounge for us. A security light comes on but once indoors and the lights out, then a torch is handy for some things. However, light switches are next to the bed so the dark is not really much of a problem, and we went at the end of the season anyway, so the summer time will not disappoint I am sure. Our hosts were very friendly, and we had some nice chats, and were given free access to wander around the beautiful grounds of the property. If you want a secluded holiday, this one is for you. And finally, once you get out in the day time and find your way in and out of the country lanes, then the holiday takes off for you to enjoy the various attractions and etc. Nowhere is more than about 45 minutes away.

Your lovely review is greatly appreciated and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your holiday Shirley and John
