“An experience NOT to be missed.”

Little wonder everyone reviewing Ballyarelodge gives it a 5 star rating, there should actually be a higher higher rating, as it is simple wonderful. The intention of our family of 4, was to use the Lodge as a base to explore the local area, but it was so beautiful and relaxing, we never set foot outside until time to leave. Una and Gary are wonderful hosts, and make you feel so at ease within moments of meeting them. We stayed in the larger 3 bedroom lodge which was immaculate, and one of our party preferred it to his own home lol. As stated by others, basics such as milk, bread tea, and etc, were already provided, which i considered a lovely touch. It was so great to be able to spend time on the lake fishing, whilst being able to nip back into the Lodge between heavy showers, or to grab the odd beer lol. I am sure our dog huffed on the way home, as he was spoilt, we just left the door of the lodge open and he came and went as he pleased. Words actually fail me too describe just how great this location is, and if it has not already been emphasised just how helpful Una and Gary are, check this out. A couple of days after arriving home, i received an email, from Una informing me that i had left my brand new fishing boots (waders) in a storage cupboard in the Lodge. i asked would it be possible to post them to my home, and I would reimburse them with the cost, but no, they said they were coming up to Belfast the following week, and brought my boots with them. In finishing folks, i would dare you to go to Ballyarelodge and not have a good time. We will certainly be back. Graham & Wendy

We stayed for 4 nights in the bigger cabin and discovered the region by car. We really enjoyed every minute. There is a wonderful view over the 4 acres pond. We were lucky to have beautiful sunshine to enjoy the terrasse, grill and hot-pot. This is, what holidays should feel like. We definitively will come back, and then, I will fish my own trout or salmon? Thank you both :-)

Owner's reply: Thank you and delighted you hope to return to Ballyarelodge. Gary&Una .
