Description

The tiny hamlet of Forest Chapel sits just a short walk from the Forest of Macclesfield and its many footpaths, cycle trails and reservoirs. Located on the western edge of the Peak District, The Teachers Cottage is ideally situated for keen walkers wishing to climb the Shining Tor or Shutlingsloe and take in the fantastic scenery below. For those looking to soak up a bit of local culture, the stately homes of Lyme Park, Adlington, Capestone and Gawsworth Halls are all within easy reach.

Enter the pretty cottage, which is attached to the school house, via a long flagged hall – the perfect place to store muddy boots and wet coats. From the hall, continue through to the family kitchen, which displays cream painted cabinets, wooden worktops, a beamed ceiling, oak walled timbers, a farmhouse table and plenty of windows flooding the room with light. A small utility room stores a washing machine, tumble dryer, airing cupboard and loo – ideal for drying soggy clothes in rainy

Upstairs you will find two spacious bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with three singles – perfect for families. Both bedrooms enjoy plenty of sunlight while the shared bathroom has been decorated in fresh spring tones.

Dogs will enjoy exploring the part fenced garden while you relax in the sun, which shines down for most of the day. At the side of the cottage are garden benches, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or evening drink.
