Casa El Cazador is situated in Almunia residence, a peaceful villa community in the hills above the villages of Rafol and Pego ( half way betwen Valencia and Alicante on the Costa Blanca). The villa is constructed on 2 levels on the edge of a hill. The entrance to the house is at the top floor at street level which comprises a bright and welcoming living room as soon as you enter the house, a separate kitchen, dining area, 3 bedrooms and bathroom. One level below is the pool area enjoying also unobstructed views of the Costa Blanca. At this level there is also an apartment comprised of a kitchen/living area, double bedroom and shower room. The villa enjoys fantastic views over the Costa Blanca, lavish gardens, space and privacy making it an ideal vacation home for families and groups.

The Valencian Country region

Rafol D'Almunia is a quiet traditional Spanish village with Arab origins, in the Valencian community. The area is known as the Marina Alta situated in the northern part of the province of Alicante. The Marina Alta area is home to many popular towns & villages, most important of which being the coastal town of Denia which is approximately a 15 minute drive from the villa.

Neighbouring towns and villages include Pego, Benimeli, Sagra, Orba, Oliva, Javea and many others.

Within a 30 minute, picturesque drive south on the coast, one can reach several other popular seaside resorts boasting beautiful sandy beaches such as Moraira, Calpe, Altea and the touristic down of Benidorm.

The residential D'Almunia, where the villa is located is a peaceful urbanisation or cluster of villas and exclusive residences on the mountains overlooking these coastal towns, just 3 kms from Rafol D'Almunia.

Rafol de Almunia

The area is an ideal hub to explore the many beaches and coastal towns of the Marina Alta and the Costa Blanca, whilst enjoying peaceful and tranquil surroundings when returning home after a long day on the beach or exploring the traditional surrounding villages.

Recommended activities include:

Golf: 2 courses within a 20 minute drive and another 3 courses within a 45 minute drive
Shopping: The Costa Blanca's largest shopping mall "La Portal de La Marina" is found just 8kms away in Ondara
Swimming: Long stretches of white sandy beaches is found just 13kms from the house, starting from Oliva and going down to Denia. Then over the mountains for the coastal towns of Javea, Moraira, Calpe and many others.


Oliva (12kms)

Oliva is a coastal town in the province of Valencia, on the border of Alicante. Every July it boasts one of the province's biggest and most colourful Moors and Christians Festivals. Oliva's Old Town has historical streets which witness various "fiestas" celebrated throughout the year including the falles "Fiesta" in March, the Moors and Christians in July and Setmana Santa (Holy Week).

From Oliva to Denia lies a 10km sandy beach on the Mediterranean shoreline. Oliva is also home to Oliva Nova Golf Resort and Spa, a world class Golf course designed by Severiano Ballesteros himself.Denia

Denia is a historical city in the province of Alicante. Evidence suggests human habitation in the area since prehistoric times and there are also significant Iberian on the hillsides nearby. Dénia castle is located on a rocky crag overlooking the city. It was built in the 11th and 12th century and offers views around the sea, the city and the surrounding area. Within the castle is the Palau del Governador which is now home to an archaeology museum.

From Denia departs the ferry to Ibiza and the other Balearic Islands on a daily basis. The city also serves as the northern terminus for a picturesque railway line through the mountains from Alicante (popularly known as the Limón Express) to Valencia.

In Denia one can find a series of world class and Michelin star restaurants serving authentic Spanish and international cuisines, as well as several bars, cafes, disco clubs and a popular shopping street. In the late hours the new Marina at the end of the harbour turns into a popular destination with several disco clubs, fashionable bars and top notch restaurants.

Javea (25kms)

Xàbia or Jávea is a coastal town in province of Alicante, by the Mediterranean Sea. Situated behind a wide bay and sheltered between two rocky headlands, making it an ideal beach for swimming. The town has become a very popular small seaside resort, with great restaurants and a market.

Moraira (37 kms)

Moraira is a picturesque, upmarket, coastal town, part of Teulada municipality, in the Marina Alta 80 km north of Alicante and 100 km south of Valencia. It is a tourist resort on the Costa Blanca strip, with 8 km of coastline backed by mountains and vineyards. Moraira boasts some very nice beachfront restaurants and cafes as well as a small beach.

Calpe (39 kms)

Calp or Calpe is a coastal town in the province of Alicante, located 67 km from the city of Alicante, lying at the foot of the Natural Park of Penyal d'Ifac – found at the top of an unusually shaped rock at the tip on the peninsula. Calpe is a popular destination for sailing, diving and snorkelling and offers a great sandy beach for swimming. It also boasts some great fish restaurants offering an amazing selection of lobsters, cray fish, giant prawns and other fresh locally caught fish.
Benidorm

Benidorm (54kms)

Benidorm is a very popular tourism destination and coastal town in the province of Alicante. Prior to the 1960s, Benidorm was a small village. Today it stands out for its hotel industry, long stretches of sandy beaches and skyscrapers, built as a result of its tourist-orientated economy. The town welcomes millions of tourists every year mostly from the United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany.

Benidorm is popular for shopping, beaches, nightlife, bars, restaurants and many theme parks such including Aqualandia water park, Mundomar, Terra Natura and Terra Mitica (see Theme Parks)
