Location description from manager

The Brittany region

Fishing in the river (permit required), trout and salmon if your lucky, use of boat, swimming permitted in the river, lovely walks or bike ride along the tow path makes this a lovely holiday location. Local shop at Lomelec(2k), supermarket at Languidec(9k).
Hennebont is a lovely town with a good range of shops, bars and restaurants.
The nearest beach is at Port Louis which faces Lorient across the estuary mouth with its extensive shopping and leisure facilities, and the famous Celtic Festival in early August.

Quistinic

The river is navigable to Pontivy where it joins the Nantes Brest canal, with relaxing boat trips or canoe hire for the more energetic.

For those who walk or cycle the tow path can be followed throughout its length, and if this is still too energetic the river has the reputation as being one of the best coarse fishing rivers, including salmon and trout, in France, (permit required).
