There are over ten large parks and reserves scattered throughout Quinns Rocks. Many of these parks share an abundance of sporting facilities for residents, such as the Quinns Rocks Bowling Club, the McCoy Park BMX Tracks, the Quinns Rocks Skate Park and the Gumblossom Tennis Courts. The tennis courts are located at Gumblossom Park, the site of the Gumblossom Community Centre, which provides for most community functions and gatherings in the suburb.

Quinns Rocks is largely residential, relying on Clarkson and the nearby city of Joondalup for major commercial and public services. Nonetheless, it does have the Quinns Village Shopping Centre, a small shopping precinct in the south-east. Located here is an IGA branch, serving as the suburb's main shopping centre for hairderessers, realestate, groceries, a post office, a newsagent, a pharmacy, a bakery, a bottle shop, fish and chip takeaway, chinese, pizza and a service station.

Location description from owner

The Western Australia region

Quinns is about 35 Minutes drive to Perth CBD, and 30 minutes on the train to the city. Short walk to the pristine Indian Ocean and centrally located to public transport. Stroll to Portifinos for lunch or dinner or just sit and watch the sun set over the ocean. Catch the ferry from Hillary's to Rottnest island for a fun day out or visit Joondalup Resort with it's 19 hole golf course and great dining experiences. A worth while trip to the Swan Valley's array of wineries, micro breweries and restaurants are only 30 minute drive away and visit to the Chocolate Factory is a great place for the kids.
