Seafield Cottage is a detached renovated cottage nearly 100 years old which looks out on the Atlantic sea and is 2 mins from the beach. The cottage is an ideal base for exploring the west or taking time out to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Renovated respecting the traditional features of the cottage but with a modern twist we have created a modern, bright, spacious and comfortable home.

Seafield Cottage is a great place to sit back and relax, enjoy the kids, your friends, your family or even your own space. Two minutes walk to the beach for a quick dip, a leisurely walk or indeed a picnic day!

We have 3 bedrooms 2 of which are enuite and 2 additional double sofa beds.

Our 2 large reception rooms offer space for everyone. reception room one boasts a large traditional fireplace with a solid fuel stove and is great room for cosying up up with a good book of which we have an ample supply if you forget yours. This room is also often used by the younger guests

This room is also often used by the younger guests to play out adventures, watch movies or play the Wii or the spare TV!

Reception Room 2; Is a large open plan lounge/ dining area with a solid fuel stove and most importantly fantastic views of the Atlantic and Mutton Island. Relax in the evening with a glass of wine watching the sun set ... bliss. A great room for entertaining and having a large family meals it opens out into the modern galley kitchen with all the facilities to russell up a feast.


Talking of kids we have a large back garden with plenty of space for them to run around and a sand pit and small slide to keep them entertained. The back garden has 2 patio areas a small one at the bottom of garden and a large one as you exit through the French doors, plenty of space for barbecuing and sunbathing (weather permitting!)


We have facilities available for families with young children to lessen the packing (wooden cot, travel cot, high chair, steriliser, monitor) For older children we have DVD player, and a Wii console, books and games. Adults can enjoy a range or books and boardgames.

What more ... well the west is at you feet to explores seafield is the ideal location for touring the west and visiting the many attractions we have to offer; The Burren, Bunratty Castle, Moher Activity Farm, Burren pufermy, Brids of prey exhibition, Dolphin watching, Golfing, Walking/Hiking, Cycling, Fishing Surfing, Kite surfing, Music and much much more!

Quilty

MUSIC
West Clare is synonymous with traditional music and it is often called the home of traditional music. The traditional music season starts in Clare in February and goes on until end of October traditional music can be heard in most of the pubs in Quilty Village and Miltown Malby.

Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy, the Willie Clancy festival is a week-long summer school in traditional music and set dance held annually at Miltown Malbay, at the start of July. The festival is one of the highlight of the traditional music calendar with music and dancing spilling out onto the streets. Classes and events also takes place in the Quilty village during the festival.


GOLFING
For golfing enthusiasts there are two of the worlds' top one hundred golf courses within 15 mins of the cottage; the world-class Greg Norman designed links course in Doonbeg and Lahinch golf course. If that's not enough a 3rd top 100 golf course the synonymous Ballybunion course is just over 2 hours' drive.

Walkers and hikers are spoilt for choice with fantastic array of tracks from the family friendly Seafield coastal loop to the more strenuous Mount Callan hike.

? Seafield Quilty Coastal Loop; right outside the cottage this loop is a pleasant family walk along and around Seafield Beach - best to walk around Low Tide! Length 3.6 miles, 1-2 hrs.
? Whitestrand to Blue Pool (near Doonbeg); this walk offers splendid wild coastal scenery and the chance of observing rare sea birds as well as dolphins and seals. Length 5.1 miles, 2. 5 - 3 hrs.
? Mount Callan Hike; Hike to the top of West Clare's highest mountain. Excellent views all around on a clear day Length: 3.66 miles, 1.5 - 2.5 hrs.
? Gleninagh Mountain, The Burren; Explore the limestone landscape of the Burren! Length 8.82 miles, 4-5 hrs.


CYCLING
If it's cycling your after we have a variety cycling tracks in the area suitable for all abilities from the cycling novice to the more experienced.

? Quilty / Mullagh Track; suitable for a family day out the Quilty / Mullagh track is mostly on quiet back roads and is 11 miles in length.
? Doonbeg / Kilkee Loop on side roads; this tack takes in spectacular coastal and sea views. Length: 18.5 miles - 3 hrs.
? Scenic West Clare route; Bicycle Loop including some of the most scenic back roads in Mid/West-Clare. You can start at the Crosses of Annagh Pub a few minute from Quilty. Length: approx. 23 miles, 3 hrs.
? Additional circuits include; Doonbeg, Loop head and Burren National Park.


BIRDWATCHING
Birdwatchers from near and far travel to Clare which has an international reputation for the numbers of rare species that pass through these parts. Just south west of Quilty is Lurgan bay, the best place in Ireland to see large number of purple sandpipers, turnstones, sanderlings and ringed plover and great numbers of skuas, storm petrels and shearwaters can be seen around the Bridges of Ross.
