From the owner

If you or a group is visiting for a day or a month, you will be very comfortable in our fully equipped house in Quetzaltenango. Our modernly furnished four bedroom, three and ½ baths house with cable TV, private parking for a compact car, fully equipped spacious kitchen with a breakfast area, large living and dining room areas and two interior gardens.

It is centrally located in the Democracia area, close to all types of transportation, including the bus stations to Guatemala city and any other cities. It is close to restaurants, internet cafes, modern supermarkets, farmers markets, language schools. The home is a few minutes from the historical downtown area and the Santa Maria and Santiaguito volcanoes. The neighborhood is very safe!!

If you have never been to Guatemala, this is the perfect base to explore Guatemala’s beauty. Xela has great places for night life and of course the historical Parque Central and landmarks. Guatemala City is about 200 kilometers from Quetzaltenango. There are lots of nearby buses that will take you to Fuentes Georginas, Laguna de Chicabal, Atitlán, Chichicastenango, nearby beaches and Antigua.

The house has 4 bedrooms, 1 bedroom with a queen and a full size bed, and a private bathroom, two bedrooms with a full size bed sharing one bathroom, and a bedroom with two full size beds and an adjacent bathroom. It will accommodate 8 to 10 people.

Our experienced housekeeper will welcome and guide you with anything you might need including finding you a reliable taxi driver or someone to cook or do your laundry.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ana (the owner) a message.

If Ana (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
