Casa Josephina is an idyllic luxury Algarve villa with a large private swimming pool (12 x 6m), situated in unspoilt countryside but only 15 min. drive from Faro. The villa lies in the middle of a beautiful 2700 sq. m. large garden with fruit trees, roses, bougainvillaea and other colourful plants. Casa Josephina is suitable for 2 to 8 people and offers privacy, space and comfort.

The villa has 4 bedrooms, all with good quality comfortable beds and air conditioning.There are two ensuite bedrooms, one on the ground floor. Two of the three upstairs bedrooms offer access to a large roof terrace with fantastic views to the sea.

Casa Josephina has a modern fully equipped kitchen with dining table seating 6, and a spacious living room (50 sq.m.) with a dining table seating 8. There is free wireless internet and a new LCD satellite TV offering both English and Dutch TV.

Outside in the garden you can find several sunny as well as shady terraces where you can unwind, enjoy the peace and quiet, have a drink or read a book. There is also an outdoor kitchen with barbecue, wood-fired bread/pizza oven, and a large covered outdoor dining area. Next to the large private swimming pool there is a large sunny terrace where you can sunbathe, or just relax on one of the sunloungers. NEW FOR 2016 - there is now an elegant poolside loggia / covered seating area, with a fridge, sink and comfortable chairs for you to relax on in the shade.

Casa Josephina is a luxury villa, equipped with every convenience you can think of. We are convinced you will spend a lovely holiday here, just like all our former guests. Thanks to the central heating system, and the wood-burning stove, it is also suitable for winter holidays. No extra charge for winter heating.

Getting around

There is a bus route through the village of Quelfes, serving Olhao, a town about 4-5 km away with plenty of shops. The bus stop is about 400 - 500m from the house. Taxis are easily available and our villa manager will recommend a local taxi company. But we strongly recommend hiring a car if you want to get the most out of your holiday, as that is the best way of visiting the many local beaches as well as the other local tourist sights and activities.

Before your holiday, we are available to answer your questions and provide you with information, by email (to the best of our ability!). During your holiday, your contact is our friendly and efficient villa manager Andre, who speaks excellent English, Dutch, German and Portuguese. He will meet you at Casa Josephina and show you around. He will be available throughout your holiday to deal with any questions or issues you may have - you just need to phone or text him, he only lives a few minutes away.

“A gorgeous villa in a perfect spot”

We all loved Casa Josephina including our 2 year old granddaughter. The wonderful pool and surrounding garden was perfect for just switching off in this quiet, unspoilt part of the Algarve, but within easy reach of gorgeous beaches, large supermarkets & the airport. The villa looked perfect from the outside & was fabulous inside, so much space & everything spotless & Andre the manager made sure our stay was perfect. Adrian & Miranda were so helpful with any queries we had. From the little cafe, two steps away!, to the restaurant a 10 mins stroll away along the little country lane, you had the perfect place to stay, of course didn't want to leave, but we'll hopefully be back!

Casa Josephina was just perfect for our annual family holiday. The large pool is great for boisterous teenagers and perfect in the hot weather. It is lovely and private but not isolated and within easy driving distance of supermarkets and Olhao. We used the barbecue on many evenings which was the perfect end to long lazy days. Would recommend and would definitely return. Andre was a tremendous help, and was only a text away when needed.

We expected a beautiful Villa from the description and photographs on Owners Direct and were not disapointed. The layout and facilities that the this villa had to offer were second to none. The building is so well designed and full of charicter. It makes the most of the sun shine throughout the whole day from the morning on the kitchen terrace where the kids enjoyed their breakfast every day to the pool and roof terraces where you could kick back and relax. The highlight for me (apart from the very large pool) was the very well laid out and equiped oustide bbq and pizza oven area where we cooked and ate our evening meals. You don't need to leave but if you do, Tavira was our favorite place and a very unspoilt town with a lovely square with some great restaurants. Andre, the Villa manager was on hand at all times should we have needed anything and the pool was maintained during our stay.

How do damage deposits work?

If Miranda and Adrian (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
