had a fab time at the queens gardens apt, used the bbq nearly every day ,also the hot tub which is great for cooling down at night with a glass of winewatching the stars come out,,everything you need is right on the doorstep but would recommend the big supermarket down near the harbour for meat etc for the bbq,as the local stores only stock essentials,would recommend this penthouse as we hope to return next year.

Firstly I would like to say what a fantastic apartment this is and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting Paphos area of Cyprus. Everything you could possibly want or need on holiday is in this apartment. It is spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable and is on a beautifully maintained complex with an excellent swimming pool. The local bus service is super and the stop just a few minutes walk from complex. The wonderful harbour area can be reached by bus but also easily on foot which we usually did and as such were able to explore some of the local unesco sites such as the catacombs. We also took a number of tours around the island the most spectacular of which was the Troodos mountains and monastery, which really is worth seeing. Finally but certainly not least I would like to add a word of thanks to Mark and Lisa the owners (especially Lisa) who made the whole booking process so simple, Lisa was so helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble for her and was always available for any queries etc. and responded to all my emails straight away. Once again many thanks to you both and can't wait to stay again.

“Cyprus home from home”

We stayed in this lovely penthouse apartment from 7th to 18th March. It has the wow factor. All is as you see in the photos. The sun terrace is wonderful and gets the sun all day - when it comes out! We were a little unlucky with the weather but still came home with lovely tans. The hot tub is a boon. We had hours of sitting in the jets with a glass of wine even when it was cloudy. The apartment is well equipped and nicely maintained. It's location is perfect for the bars and restaurants on the tomb of kings road. The bus stops just outside the complex to take you either to the harbour (tourist eateries etc) or to Coral Bay Beach - which is one of the nicer beaches in Cyprus - all for €1. The TV stations are disappointing but a DVD player is provided and some DVD's ( or take your own too). BBQ is gas and we used it quite a lot for breakfast lunch and dinner. There is a griddle on one side and grilling rack on the other so eggs and bacon are no problem. Lisa's correspondence is excellent and if you have any problems she helps out where she can. She also provides great information as to what to do, where to go and getting around the local area. The waste land next to the complex is due to have a shopping mall built on it. This was underway when we got there - we wondered if the noise would disturb us - it didn't!!! In fact it was fascinating watching them. For some reason the work stopped suddenly after about 7 days - we wondered if they ran out of money??? So it may be some time before this is actually completed. We hope it does not spoil the. View from the balconies and roof terrace but we don't think it will. The apartment is safe and secure and would be great for kids as well as couples. We highly recommend anyone to book. It was the fastest chill down we have ever had. Our son and his girlfriend joined us and my father in law was staying at a local hotel so joined us for BBQ's, drinks and peace on the terrace. We all had a wonderful time. We are thinking of returning in September....... We recommend Nostalgia for breakfast and Meze. Thomas Jungle for drinks, fun and meals. On Thursday night the Bangladeshi barman cooks a wonderful Indian meal which is highly recommended. he is also great fun and the reason we returned time and again to the bar. Phuket is lovely if you like Chinese and Thai food. The harbour is always worth the walk for a drink and a snack. The bakery is lovely but expensive. Plenty of ATM's to withdraw cash from. Only suggestions I would make is to have a spare gas cylinder for the BBQ. It didn't run out but you were always in edge wondering if it would ( and no idea where to get a replacement if it did). Also there was only one thin pillow each - I found more in the wardrobe but no extra pillow slips some had to force two into one slip to make it thick enough. As you can see - only small things........ Many thanks to Mark and Lisa for allowing us to use their lovely apartment. We would love to return if they will let us!!!!

“Absolute perfection - a real home from home!!”

Having stayed in Queens Gardens in 2010 (albeit in a different property) me, my wife and my 8 year old daughter were eager to return to this fabulous complex. As a family we prefer renting a privately owned property where we have the flexibility to either stay in and chill out, or get ready and go out for a fabulous meal/evening, and Paphos offers this in abundance. Well if that's your type of holiday to, then this spectacular property tick all the boxes!! Logistically, Queens Gardens offers you the best of both worlds; located at the start of The Tomb Of The Kings Road you have a huge choice of British themed bars and a variety of international restaurants. You can also take a 5-10 minute stroll into the Harbour and Kato Paphos where you have scores of excellent restaurants (a huge array of cuisines), a scattering of traditional Cypriot taverna's, numerous family bars and the lively Bar Street for the younger crowd!! Added to this, you can stroll approx 1km into the Old Town, Municipal Beach (which isn't the best beach in the world to be honest) is a 300-400 yard walk away (which has beach volleyball courts and a beach soccer pitch), and the new Kings Avenue Mall (which is currently under construction next door) is something to get excited about for 2012; this will include design/retail outlets, restaurants/bars, a cinema, ice rink etc). There are 3 decent supermarkets within a 5 minute walk, and numerous kiosks (peripteros) on your doorstep. The bus stop for Coral Bay (an excellent sandy beach) and the Waterpark is immediately outside the complex. Now the property!! A very spacious penthouse, with 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large kitchen, dining and living areas...superbly furnished/equipped. If you prefer the shade then there's covered balconies at both the front and rear of the apartment. The highlight however, must be the east-west facing roof terrace which enjoys completely uninterrupted sunshine (unless you seek shelter under the parasol), even during the winter months. It's suitably equipped with a jacuzzi (which could comfortably fit 6-8 people in) a BBQ (with grill and hot plate, so you could easily cook breakfast, lunch and tea on it if you wanted), a sink/taps, 4 padded sunbeds, 2 reclining chairs and 6 seats & table for dining. We honestly enjoyed nothing more on the holiday then watching the spectacular sunset with an ice-cold drink, which is clearly visible from this rooftop...truly magical!! 'Helens Club' has opened within the complex this year, and offers drinks/snacks at reasonable prices, along with board games, books, darts, a pool table, Sky TV & a relatively basic gymnasium. The communal pool is a fairly decent size and is excellently maintained/cleaned. All in all, the perfect location around which to base your holiday!! Rob & Kelly Tyne & Wear
