Beech Cottage has a private hot tub which is open all year.

You have access to a 5 meter outdoor heated SWIMMING POOL which is open from MAY - END SEPT. It is shared with other properties on site, however only one cottage is permitted to use the pool at a time. (£10.00 for a hour or £18.00 for 2 consecutive hours, direct arrangement with us).

The cottage is set in a courtyard at Carpenters Tinney with two other small cottages & is ideal for a family of 2 adults & 2 children or it will sleep 3 adults comfortably. (Parking space for one car).

Electric car charging point available on site. (Fee's apply).

Carpenters Tinney is tucked away from all the hassle of everyday life & is idea for couples to relax & switch off, & our garden offers families a safe space to explore have fun & run around.

The property is on the Devon/Cornwall boarder, approx. 8 miles in land from Bude. You will find us at the end of a tree lined single track country lane. We have approx. 11 acres & The River Tamar flows through our land.

We run a small holding at Carpenters Tinney so you can meet the animals, explore the fields & see the wildlife. You can even have a go at fishing from our river banks & see what you can catch from the River Tamar.

We might be rural but the local village store of Whitstone is only 2.5 miles from us and offers not only your daily supplies but also a bar with meals to eat in and take away.

The cottage does not have its own washing machine but we offer the use of ours for a fee. There is also a drying room where you can make use of the spin dryer & tumble dryer.

House rules

Children are not allowed to the bottom fields unless accompanied by an adult, this is for safety due to the pond & river. There is a gate between the garden & fields.

No one under 6 yrs of age is allowed to use the hot tub.

1st £10.00 of electric inc. & a basket of logs.

1 small dog per cottage, not to be left unattended at anytime. We sometimes allow 2 dogs if they are a very small breed. You must make an extra effort to clean dog hairs up at the end of your stay.

Smoking is allow outside.

Why can't I call Debbie (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Debbie (the owner) a message.

If Debbie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
