“Beautiful Cottage, fantastic setting, lovely holiday.”

Reviewed 17 Apr 2018

We were very impressed with the beautiful cottage. It was clean and very well equipped. The only problem we had were the ants in the kitchen they were into everything. We had to keep all our bread and food etc in the fridge. They need to be dealt with. Apart from that we would give the cottage an excellent rating. We did not see the owners at all, just let ourselves in and closed the door when we left. We also had no instructions as to how to turn the hot water on, how the heaters worked etc. My husband found the water heater control in a cupboard and switched it on but we would have been happier if we had been told what we should do or not do.The area is fantastic and we had a wonderful 3 days exploring the beaches and the local, very attractive towns . We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to return again.

Owner's reply: Hi, Thank you for your review and star rating .....we appreciate any feedback as we are always striving to maintain quality and high standards. With regards to your comments we have addressed the issue of the ants straight away as soon as it came to our attention. Apologies also for the confusion regarding heating etc but we are in the process of updating our guest handbooks which would include all the necessary information for guests. However, if you are to return to us in the future just remember we are always on hand - just a quick knock on the farmhouse door and we would be more than happy to help with anything :):) Hope you did enjoy your time in North Wales and hope to see you again. Many thanks Sioned

“Lovely cottage in a beautiful location”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2017

The cottage was bright, spacious and very comfortable. We arrived and it was ready on time and clean and neat. It has all the features and equipment you could need for a holdiday. There are lovely walks and beaches close by. The owner was very responsive and helped out very quickly when needed

“Imaculate cottage, lovely peaceful location.”

My wife and I, and our 4 year old grandson stayed for 3 nights in this lovely cosy and peaceful cottage. It has very recently been refurbished to a high standard and has everything that you could need. The location is great, only a few minutes drive to the resorts of Criccieth and Pwllheli, and also Abersoch where our grandson enjoyed hours on the lovely beach. You don't even have to get into your car to go for a walk, there are easy well signposted walks only a few steps from the cottage. All in all a perfect place to stay.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for your lovely review - It was an absolute pleasure to host your family and so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We hope to see you again soon.

“Small but beautifully designed cosy cottage.”

The photographs don't do this beautiful cottage justice. Julie met us on arrival and made myself, my wife and our dogs very welcome. On the dining table was a basket of fresh eggs and some Welsh cakes mmmmm. The views from the living room and kitchen are stunning. In the foreground, sheep and lambs grazing right upto the cottage, In the distance the sea. Go upto the mezzanine bedroom and the the view is even better through the velux window. The cottage is equipped with everthing you could need and more. The location is brilliant too. Lovely countryside walks right at the end of the drive or alternatively a lovely walk to the beach. Located between Pwllheli and Criccieth so ideal for exploring the surrounding area. (Just don't make the journey to Portmerrion if you take dog with you as you will not be able to visit as we found out). Absolutely loved our stay at Cegin Foch and we will be back soon. Already told our friends about our stay and my advice is - if you're looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings, look no further than Cegin Foch, you'll love it.
