Ca Na Margalida is a traditional and authentic Mallorcan finca with a rustic style and set in a rural location, between Pollensa old town and Puerto Pollensa. The villa is small and cosy decorated with traditional furniture and maintains the original wooden beams and stone walls.
The outdoor space really is the gem to this property with a lovely outdoor covered terrace by the front door and an ivy covered terrace outside by the large Webber BBQ. This terrace is ideal for relaxing and having outdoor meals whilst keeping an eye on the children playing in the swimming pool.
The grounds have many fertile trees growing seasonal fruits such as figs, persimmons and olives. The owner of this property is friendly and attentive, who genuinely cares for guests. Small gestures like a plate of the fresh hand picked figs, grapes or oranges are little housewarming gifts she sometimes likes to give.
If you're interested in staying in this property, there are a few things we'd like you to know:
Due to the size and layout of the villa, it is best suited to smaller groups of 4 or 5 people.
Neighbouring houses can sometimes be heard when families are enjoying the exteriors and pool area, particularly in peak season. It is not obtrusive but nice to know before you book.
The villa offers a limited selection of satellite channels although there is wifi here for downloading or streaming content to your devices.
The double bed upstairs is 1.35m x 1.9m / 4'6" x 6'3". The twin bedroom may be more ideal for children as the beds are in an L shape and cannot be pushed together.
The villa is kept cool in the summer using thick stone walls, traditional in Mallorcan architecture. Although this is the case, air conditioning has been installed in the bedrooms.
Ground Floor: Entrance/ living/ dining room, fully equipped kitchen, 1 double bedroom, 1 full bathroom.
First Floor: 1 twin bedroom, 1 shower room, 1 double bedroom (1.35m x 1.9m / 4'6" x 6'3")
Exterior: 1 shower room, two covered terraces, large gas Webber BBQ, pool (8m x 4m) and fertile garden area full of shrubs and plants.

The northern foothills of the Sierra de Tramuntana are the backdrop of the historic old town of Pollença, just a few kilometers from the beautiful sandy beaches of the port. Pollensa is a popular destination for painters and artists with a special charm and personality since the beginning of this Century. The market square with outdoor cafés and elegant restaurants is the focal point of this unique village, where the market takes place every Sunday from 8am - 1pm. Throughout the year there are various musical events and fiestas, the most famous being the Moors and Chrisitians battle which takes place on 2nd August. The town is a great base for walkers, cyclists and bird watchers.
We recommend you climb the 365 steps, one for each day of the year, of the Calvari, from here you have fantastic views of the North of the island and the rooftops of Pollensa. There is a small chapel at the top and a cafe to quench your thirst.

"Small but perfectly formed"
Booked this two storey traditional Mallorcan house for my husband, 15 year old daughter and I, plus my sister, her husband and their 11 year old. The property was small but had everything we needed: two bathrooms, three bedrooms, a good sized and well stocked kitchen, two cool terraces for dining, posh BBQ, a beautiful pool, pretty garden with fruit trees, air-conditioning and, a necessity for every teenager, WiFi. Accessed along a dusty, winding, road, it was situated almost equal distances from Puerto Pollenca, Alcudia and old town Pollenca and was very quiet and comfortable. I had read in a previous review that the beds were hard but we had no problem is sleeping on them. I have been coming to this area for more years than I care to admit and this would certainly be one of the properties I would not hesitate to return to. We had a lovely holiday. I just wish I was there now.

This beautiful traditional Mallorcan property provided the sanctuary and facilities for a peaceful, stress free week in the sun. Only a 10 minute drive from the port of Pollensa and the old town, it sits in a rural location. The property is surrounded by lovely gardens and an olive grove, fruit trees and herbs. Well presented throughout and an abundance of crockery and cooking utensils. The villa is lovely and cool and spotlessly clean. Prestige Villas were veryfriendly and helpful. Our local rep, Ana was a delight and made us feel really welcome. We plan to return later in the year.
