Set on the second and top floor of this small residence of just 6 apartments in the popular residential area of Llenaire, the Vista Monte apartment is only a 100 metres stroll from the wide sandy beach, and 15 minutes from the centre of Puerto Pollensa. Furnished in a comfortable style with cool tiled floors and white walls, the apartment is air-conditioned and benefits from two private terraces and a large communal swimming pool.

The exclusive residential area of Llenaire, with its wide palm fringed avenues is situated to the south of Puerto Pollensa and it is a pleasant 15 minute stroll along the beach promenade to the heart of the resort. The beach here is wide and sandy with sun parasols and loungers which can be hired for long lazy days beside the calm waters of the Bay of Pollensa. There is a choice of good restaurants in Llenaire as well as a couple of beach bars and a number of small supermarkets for your everyday needs.

Furnished in a comfortable style and very well equipped the apartment is air-conditioned and comprises a living room with separate sitting and dining areas. There is feature fireplace, satellite television (with limited English channels) and DVD player. French doors open onto a private terrace furnished for dining al fresco or just relaxing with a drink or a good book. A set of steps lead up to the roof terrace and barbecue. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric hob and oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. In addition there is a separate laundry room with a washing machine.

The apartment has two twin bedrooms, one of which can be made up as a double, and has a full bathroom en-suite and the other which has an adjacent bathroom.

Wifi is provided for guests.

In addition to the terrace that leads from the living room there is also a good size furnished roof terrace which has a built in gas barbecue and views to the surrounding hills. Both terraces have a sun awnings and are furnished for both dining al fresco or just relaxing either in the sun or the shade.

The grounds of the residence are laid mainly to lawn with some shrubs and trees and to the side there is a shared swimming pool which measures 9 m x 5 m; the shallow end is 1 metre and the deep end 2 metres, and is surrounded by sun terraces.

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at vista monte. The area is beautiful and the apartment was very nice, very quiet, very clean and well equipped -lovely.

The information in the apartment was useful and concise and the information from Patricia was also useful - my only criticism would be that no information was given about what to do when we left. Consequently we left our key under the mat because that is where we had found it and our neighbours had done this earlier in the week.

I hope that this was the correct thing to do?

BOOKING PROCEDURE : A deposit of 30% of the total rental is payable at the time of booking and the balance of 70% is required two months before the start of the rental.

We can accept payment in either Sterling or Euros, by cheque, debit or credit card, although in the case of the latter we reserve the right to pass on the associated merchant charge.

Prior to making payment please telephone us.

CANCELLATION CHARGES : Should you unfortunately have to cancel your rental the following charges are payable:

If the cancellation is made -

* More than 63 days before start of the rental - loss of deposit

* Between 63 days and 42 days - 50% of the rental cost

* Between 42 and 28 days - 80% of the rental cost

* Within 28 days of the start of the rental - 100% of the cost of the rental

In the light of these cancellation charges it is strongly advised that all clients take out comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation cover. Cancellations must be advised in writing.

RENTAL AGREEMENT - in arranging rentals for Vista Monte Seis, Linda Bethell (trading as Just Villas & Apartments Ltd) is acting as agent for the local management company who act as principal for the rental agreement. Copies of their booking conditions are available on request.

SECURITY DEPOSIT – is payable locally to the managing agent of the property on arrival by credit card imprint. This will be destroyed at the end of your stay, however you will be advised should there be any deductions for breakages or additional charges.

TENANCY TIMES - the property is available for occupation after 1500 on your arrival day and should be vacated by 1000 on your day of departure. Please bear this in mind when you are booking your flights.

The Balearic Islands region

Puerto Pollensa

PUERTO POLLENSA is an attractive resort which stretches along a sheltered horseshoe-shaped bay lined with sandy beaches, set against the backdrop of the Boquer Mountains. The resort has grown up around a scenic fishing port that served the old Roman town of Pollensa. Far quieter and more laid back than the exuberant resorts of the Bay of Palma, Puerto Pollensa attracts both families and couples. The celebrated Pine Walk overlooks the beach and the bay, dotted with the colourful sails of yachts. Some of the best fish restaurants in Mallorca are found along the promenade along with other cuisines to suit every taste.

There are a number of interesting places to visit nearby:

Historic POLLENSA, lies in the lee of the Tramuntana Mountains and is a peaceful old town that has been largely unaffected by tourism. Pollensa is one of Mallorca's most celebrated cultural towns with much of the historic medieval centre remaining intact, particularly around the attractive Plaça Major.

CALA SAN VICENTE, Puerto Pollensa's near neighbour, is a small resort with some excellent restaurants that nestles around four sandy coves in the shadow of the Cavall Bernat.

The nearby FORMENTOR PENINSULA, the bony northern spur of the Tramuntana Mountains is an area of great natural beauty with wooded valleys, plunging cliffs, magnificent seascapes and a wonderful beach, the Playa de Formentor.

OLD ALCUDIA, not to be confused with the modern resort 3 kms to the south, has a fascinating history. Settled by the Phoenicians and Greeks; the Romans made it their capital; destroyed by the Vandals; rebuilt by the Moors, and liberated in the early 1200's by the Spanish who fortified the city with massive walls. Today within the old city you will find a number of enticing restaurants, bars, shops and art galleries.

Further afield are many other places of interest - LLUC, renowned for its monastery, beautiful DEIA home to many artists, the ancient hilltop town of ARTA; and PALMA itself.

"Lovely apartment with lots of appeal"

We stayed at Vista Monte for 10 days in August 2011, a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The apartment was ideal in terms of the amount of space it gave us and the fact it has 2 well sized bathrooms. Where we've stayed in apartments before with a very basic set of facilities this was like staying in someones home with all the little things you'd expect to make you comfortable. The kitchen was particularly well equipped (with a good size fridge, freezer, microwave, cooker, etc) with lots of sensible equipment for preparing meals for 4 people. There was also a well thought out welcome pack (with dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, etc) and loads of info about the surrounding area. Very pleasantly surprised on arrival. From the point of view of location it is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest SPAR down on the beach for those little things you need and about a 10 min drive to the Erosky supermarket. The lively part of Puerto Pollensa with plenty of restaurants and nightlife is about 30 mins walk away which was just enough to build up a hunger before dinner and walk off a heavy meal afterwards. The apartment does back onto a road where there is some traffic but it is very quiet especially at night as its in a residential area. The apartment has a very, stunning rooftop terrace that was ideal for eating meals with astounding views of the mountains and towards the sea. We sat up there one evening and watched the shooting stars - absolutely amazing. There is a fire-fighting sea plane located in the bay and it was most entertaining to watch it from the roof terrace practicing dropping its payload in the bay. Obviously being on the top floor it wouldn't be ideal for someone with mobility issues or for very small children but otherwise the apartment was ideal for us. We had a spectacular holiday and are considering booking for next year already!
