Location description from owner

The Canary Islands region

Lanzarote is located off the west coast of Africa and is 1100 Km to the south west of the Spain. Its geographical position ensures that there are more days of sunshine and less days of rain than the other Canarian islands, with all year round high temperatures. In the summer temperatures can be up in the 90's, although there is always a cooling off shore breeze. Temperature rarely fall below 75 in the summer, making it ideal for sunbathing and sport during the day and pleasant in the evenings for relaxing over a leisurely meal or drink at one of the many restaurants and bars.

Puerto Del Carmen

Puerto del Carmen was originally a small fishing village and the old harbour is still a charming place to visit. The area boasts some excellent seafood restaurants and it is ideal to dine in any time of the day. The area has over 6 kilometres of golden sandy beaches and the town has been saved from unsightly high-rise buildings that are common in many resorts.

Due to the fantastic climate and clean waters all kind of sports are available year round, from windsurfing to scuba diving and sport fishing. In addition to its beautiful coastline, a good selection of shopping centres and shops, restaurants, cocktail bars, casino and clubs are available. At night Puerto del Carmen is perfect for taking a stroll along the promenade, enjoying in the sights and sounds. For the younger generation this resort is a lively hotspot with a buzzing nightlife.

“Amazing First Family Holiday!”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2016

This was our first abroad holiday with our 8 month old son and his grandparents. The villa was like home from home and had all the facilities you could need. It was very peaceful but still very close to everything who would want. The pool was of a good size, however it was very deep. I am 5ft 7 and could not stand up in it, so only my husband could take our son for a swim. This was our only downside to the villa. To walk into town was ok as it was down hill. We did walk back up the hill most nights but it is easier, and cheap enough, to get a taxi back. We hired a car due to the amount of luggage and car seat needed for the baby. The journey from the airport is about 20 minutes. This was our first time staying in a villa and Roger was great with information and communication on how to get to the villa, how to get in and what was nearby to the villa. The welcome back was greatly appreciated as we landed at 11pm. Even our little boy had his own welcome pack which was a lovely gesture. If you are staying with a baby, I do feel the cost to hire the cot and high chair is expensive. This isn't a price set by Roger, but the company he uses. If I were to stay again, I would still hire the cot as it is better than taking our own and it getting lost or damage, but I wouldn't hire the highchair. It is just a seat attached to one of the normal table chairs and my husband found one the same that we could have bought for less money than the hire charge. We were told it would be €50 but we're asked for €52. I know that's not a great difference but €26 is a lot when you can take your own cot for free on most airlines. Richard who came to clean the pool was very nice. We did not have any issues whilst staying in the villa, but had we have done, we know Richard would have been most helpful.

Delighted that you has a good holiday and liked our villa
