Description

Edificio Cumbremar is a small development, approx 11 years old, set in a quiet location but just 5 mins walk from the centre of Puerto de Mazarron with its many bars and restaurants and blue flag beaches. The complex has a lovely shared pool in a lawned garden with children's paddling area, with plenty of car parking space. Our terrace/balcony gives fantastic views over the town and the Bay of Mazarron, is furnished with table and chairs, and is perfect for al fresco dining. With 1 double and 1 triple bedroom the apartment is ideal for families and the complex is also disability friendly with ramps, and a lift to all floors. We give you FREE:WiFi (few offer at all)Final Clean (some others charge 60 euros), UK TV. NEW for summer 2016, air conditioning throughout apartment.

Standard check in time is 2pm and standard check out time is 10am though we try to be as flexible as we can.

The Murcia region

Murcia is the driest region of Spain with almost no rainfall in the summer months. The Costa Calida area has its own micro climate produced by the Sierra Espuna mountain range giving a warm, non-humid atmosphere and air quality unsurpassed in Spain (and most of Europe).

Winters here are short and mild, and the Spring and Autumn remind you of a great English Summer. The landscape is a mixture of high dramatic mountains and broad fertile plains dotted with orange groves, almond plantations and tomato farms.

In easy reach are the historical cities of Cartagena and Murcia, several golf courses, two water parks and the Sierra Espuna National Park, which in the UK would be called an area of outstanding natural beauty. Where else can you hand feed wild boar while enjoying a picnic? The gaudier attractions of Benidorm are within driving distance.

There are several beaches around Puerto de Mazarron mostly blue flagged and some quiet even in high season.

Puerto de Mazarron

Puerto de Mazarron is a lovely town with an authentic Spanish feel. Plenty of supermarkets and shops to choose from including an English Supermarket if you have a favourite tea/coffee/variety! Local, good value markets in Puerto and most surrounding towns. All towns, large or small, have regular Fiestas, mainly in Spring or Autumn.

Good quality Spanish and English bars and restaurants abound, especially for seafood lovers. Chinese food is excellent and very cheap. Three good Indian restaurants for curry aficionados, all a short walk away.

Puerto has had a lot of new investment in the last 3 years and now boasts one of the smartest Marinas in the South of Spain, surrounded by shops and nice bar/restaurants. The "Paseo" which is what we would call the promenade has this year been completely renovated and is now absolutely beautiful. No one rushes you out of the restaurants here and tarrying over a meal or drink at the Marina and watching the Spanish families promenading up and down is one of our favourite activities! For the younger (or young at heart) the new marina area has several "club" type bars which stay open till the small hours offering a variety of music and dancing. This part of the port has a definite yottie/clubby feel to it now, unlike the older paseo which still retains its more traditional Spanish ambiance, meaning there is something for all ages to enjoy.

Watersports, fishing and tennis all available locally. Bike and mountain bike hire available locally. Go kart circuit and tenpin bowling alley within 10 minutes walk of the apartment though well out of earshot.
