Walk through the front entrance of Reef Tides and you are greeted by a breath-taking view straight from a tropical fantasy. The vivid blues of the sky, the turquoise of the ocean and the azure of the swimming pool merge into a sweeping panorama of Provo's North Shore.

Reef Tides is an elegant and luxurious bungalow-style family villa built around a central elevated patio: poolside fun, sunbathing, casual alfresco meals, barbecue cook-outs and cocktails at sundown all happen here. Flower-filled tropical gardens surround you both inside and out.

A SENSORY PARADISE

Wherever you go at Reef Tides, the view goes with you. Gaze out to sea from the raised beach-side cabana, a perfect vantage point to keep watch over the kids while swimming. Hide away with a good book in the thatched tiki hut as delicate butterflies flit by; doze off for a siesta to the sound of hummingbirds in the hibiscus; or get some ‘me time’ in the stone-built artist's studio, perfect for yoga or painting.

A SWIMMER'S PARADISE

A stroll down the garden path takes you to carved stone steps providing safe and easy access into the ocean or, at low tide, to the pocket sandy beach. There you can enjoy snorkelling in the pristine waters of the Princess Alexandra Marine Park in a private section of reef protected from boats; you can spot rays, turtles, soft corals and countless colourful small fish. It's a five-minute amble along the shore, or at high tide an easy wade through knee-high water, to quiet Babalua Beach if you're looking for an all-day stretch of sand.

SLEEPING IN PARADISE

Guest bungalows, each one beautifully appointed in a contemporary style and colour-coordinated to the tones of the Caribbean, enjoy ocean views. Mirror-image master suites, in East and West-facing bungalows, have private balconies, perfect for an early morning coffee or a romantic night cap. An exterior staircase takes you down to the fourth suite with its own TV and sitting area. Rooms all have AC, ceiling fans and provide generous storage. Soap, shower gel, hairdryers and robes are provided in bathrooms. An additional poolside powder room has a WC and basin.

Our local manager Jade greets our guests at the villa on arrival to ensure a warm welcome to Reef Tides and orientate you. She will give you her cellphone number and is on call to answer any queries or issues that may arise during your stay. As a Provo resident, she is well placed to make recommendations for excursions, dining out etc and is happy to make enquiries and reservations. Prior to arrival, Jade or I will happily answer all your questions, give suggestions and advice, connect you with caterers, car hire firms, kayak rental firms etc. We also offer a pre-stocking service at additional charge; this can be a bonus if you are arriving late or after a long journey.

Beautiful view of the ocean and reef. Comfortable, spacious rooms. Loved the outdoor living spaces and pool. Our stay was incredibly peaceful and serene.

Why can't I call Michele (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Michele (the owner) a message.

If Michele (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
