“Lovely place helpful owners”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2014

We stayed for a week with two young children (2 & 5). The villa is lovely, clean and well equipped with thoughtful touches like children's DVDs. The pool is a bonus, we were in there every day. Joanna is very helpful and put us in touch with people to arrange airport transfers and car hire, and showed us the way to the local supermarket. There is actually a bus stop about a minutes walk away where you could easily get to Ayia Napa and other local towns if you decided not to hire a car! Beaches are a few minutes walk and beautiful, clean and sandy, great for snorkelling, they weren't busy in April and if you drive a bit further afield you can find stretches where they are practically empty. Loads of restaurants and shops (quite a lot of them are run by brits) nearby (if you have to watch the football as we did there is loads of choice!) also a big Lidl, nicer than in the UK for your groceries. Would definitely visit again and would recommend this villa and this part of cyprus for a relaxing family holiday.

Thank you for your lovely review. We would love for you to stay again in the future :)

“Stress free holiday in a wonderful location!”

After a lot of research of villas in the south east area of Cyprus, we decided Protaras had the most to offer for us (2 females and 1 male all aged 26). We had arrange for a private transfer from and to the airport, the journey only lasted 45 minutes each way and cost us in total for the return trip 90 euros, cant complain! so make sure you get your transfer through Jo and Martin. The villa easily accomodates 4 people, the main bedroom with double bed had en-suite and a balcony, but you only get the sun on that balcony until about 10am. The twin bedroom has 2 balconys and got the sun the rest of the day until the sun went down. Air conditioned in both bedrooms and in the living area. The kitchen had EVERYTHING and i mean everything you could even ask for, all the utencils etc to cook up a meal or even have a BBQ by the pool (the next lucky people will have some BBQ charcoal and firelighters courtesy of ourselves haha). Although we barely used the living room area - it came in handy when we had the one storm (the 1 in 27 years storm might I add, so dont let that put you off) as the drawers were filled with DVD's, CD's, board games and books which kept us entertained for the few hours it rained. Also there is plenty of maps and tourist information in the drawers too - which was very handy for us as we hired a car off Jo for a very good price. The car was spacious enough, the boot was big enough to fit all our bags in for a day trip and some shopping trips, plus it has air con!!! The outside area of the villa consisted of a driveway, the pool (has a shallow and a deeper end) and a BBQ. We spent the majority of our time in the pool, it was regularly cleaned - i think he came every third day or so, anyway we seen him 2 or 3 times during the weeks stay. The villa itself was located about a 5 minute walk to the main strip where you can be accomodated for pretty much all your food tastes and there's every type of bar going. We went out every night and always started off in the Marmia bar - has English waitresses and plays football on the tv all the time :) There's plenty of shops and supermarkets about, we used a little one 2 minutes from the villa and it was open 24 hours. We only used the bus twice (to get to and from Ayia Napa), the bus stop is about a minute away from the villa and only cost us 1.50 euros there and 2.50 euros back (it was 3am mind) and when we went it was on a 20 minute service, but the neighbours told us that changed for the winter period in october so you might wanna check up on that. I'm struggling to find a negative about this place, but if I was really really picky, the villa could benefit from having wi-fi, but thats personal preference and some people like to holiday to get away from all of that. However, 99% of bars offered free wi-fi anyway so it wasn't a big problem. All in all we had a brilliant holiday, Jo was a pleasure to deal with and would definitely be looking at staying here again!
