A spacious open living area leads to sheltered balcony with outdoor table, chairs, and sun loungers - with a view out to sea and the awe-inspiring horizon. Visitors can relax, read, enjoy a drink or meal, and experience a gorgeous sunset. Relax by a nearby pool, or at a local Kapparis cafe, restaurant or bar.

Our apartment is ideal for couple or even a family with child or baby. Although it's only a one bedroom holiday apartment there is a large comfortable king size bed in the bedroom, travel cot (suitable baby or toddler to age 3), and a double sofa bed in the living room. Sumptuous leather sofas furnish the living room, offering a TV with English satellite channels, DVD player & movies. The new equipped kitchen has all the expected mod cons, including cooker, oven, fridge/ freezer and washing machine. An extendable dining table allows for meals indoors and seats 4 people. We even provide a high chair for toddlers. There is full air-conditioning throughout the rental apartment. The single bathroom has both a bath tub and shower function.

The atmosphere of the neighborhood and apartment complex resort is very relaxed and laid back which makes it the ideal place for a chill out holiday or vacation. The rental apartment makes a perfect romantic get away for a couple looking for a more private and peaceful location than the usual Cyprus hotel.

More local area details:

Cyprus benefits from lovely blue skies and day long sunshine in most months with temperatures approx. above 30C most of the year.

Sundays Apartment complex is one of very few in central Kapparis, on Kennedy Avenue the main road with restaurants, bars, pubs and shops as well as other amenities such as children play areas, hairdressers, rental companies, and even betting shops. The only places closer to Fireman's beach than Sundays complex and with swimming pools are mainly villas. Potential guests should make sure to check the location of other apartments on google maps when making enquiries as many are much further out from beaches than expected. Fireman's beach is the best in the nearby area and approx. 5 minutes walk down from Kennedy Avenue, off a famous area known as Millionaire's Row. There are also more beaches less than 10 mins walk away along the coast. There is a supermarket opposite the apartment complex for daily supplies, and 24/7 shops further up the road. For bigger supplies there is a Lidl and Carrerfour and other large local supermarket approx. 5-6 minutes drive to Paralimni from Kapparis centre and beaches. The apartment is only a few minutes drive to Agia Triada or Pernera, 6-7 minutes drive to Protaras, and 15 mins drive to Agia Napa. A car is not needed though as there is a sheltered bus stop nearby to the apartment (2 mins walk) and buses go to main towns - Paralimini, Agia Triada, Pernera, Protaras, Agia Napa, Nicosia and Larnaca - and only costs about 2 Euros.

At most beaches holiday makers can participate in a half day boat trip, or water sports including jetski, snorkelling, SCUBA, fly fishing, speedboating, pedal boats, water skiing, parasailing, kayak, ringos, u-tube, crazy shark, banana and oxoon. In easy driving reach are nearby mini-golf courses and other child friendly activities.

Travel around Cyprus:

Cyprus is a small island (240km across) so it's possible to drive from East to West coast in less than 3 hours. My Cyprus rental apartment is located along the South East coast, near to the North-South divide. Drive 20 mins to one of only 3 checkpoints to cross the border into Turkish North Cyprus - visit Famagusta city and Varosha ('the Ghost Town'), Salamis for ancient sites, or Karpaz Peninsula for secluded untouched beaches and turtle watching.

A short drive will take you to the Capital of Cyprus - Nicosia (a divided city with Turkish and Greek areas and influences), ancient historic sites such as 'Kition' near Larnaca and Limassol where it's possible to golf, or the Mountains of Troodos (approx. 1 1/4 hr drive) where you can even go skiing on the snow at Mount Olympus from Jan to end March.

Local companies within walking distance from apartment provide day trips to all locations at low prices - it's even possible to visit Paphos for a day.

Other Things to do and see:

Cyprus is an island of legends that basks all year-round in the warm Mediterranean sun. A storied past 10,000 years long has seen civilizations come and go and the likes of everyone from Alexander the Great to Cleopatra stake their claim here. Aphrodite was born in Cyprus and made her home here. Travellers throughout antiquity came here just to pay her tribute.

Religion is very important in Cyprus and there are many exquisite churches and monasteries in South Cyprus, and Mosques in the North worth a visit. The ancient history also includes heavy Roman and Venetian influence including ancient temples, baths, mosaics, city walls, and castles.

Location description from owner

The Famagusta District

Kapparis is in South Cyprus within the Famagusta region in South East Cyprus, near to Protaras and Ayia Napa and is famous for its beautiful beaches of white sand. Visitors can view the nearby sea cave formations and marvel at the clear blue sea. A wealth of relaxing options, beaches and hidden bays/ coves to find. Visit the acquarium or main lookout point at Deryneia or the museum within the town to learn more about the history between the separation of North / South Cyprus. Why not take a boat trip out and explore the surrounding area by sea? Cape Greco, is a beautiful area lying between Protaras and Ayia Napa, is ideal for walking or cycling. Climbing or driving up the hill you'll have amazing views of the Cyprus coastline.

One of the few entry points into North Cyprus is 15-20 minute drive away from the apartment. Crossing the border it's possible to visit the City of Famagusta; the ancient Greek site of Salamis still with intact theatre and gymnasium; the beaches next to Varosia and the deserted ghost town unoccupied since 1974. Or further a field you could drive to the famous harbour town Kyrenia or the Karpass Peninsula to see Sea Turtles.

Prior to the islands separation in 1974 the Famagusta area was the main destination for tourists and Cypriots to visit in Cyprus for their holidays (similar to popularity of Cornwall in the UK). The area has not changed since those times and the lovely dreamlike on the coves of Kapparis are a fair reflection of the more bustling days put with less visitors and tourists and perfect for those looking for a quiet holiday, with the opportunity to go to the livelier areas nearby (e.g. Paralimni, Protaras and Agia Napa), and visit stunning beaches with still waters like Fireman's Beach, Fig Tree Bay, Konnos Beach, Coral Bay, Nissi Beach, or Pernera Beach. Explore the peaceful monastery in Ayia Napa, wandering around the fishing harbour or try the nearby Potamos Creek. Or for action sign up for watersports available at majority of beach locations, spend a day at Europe's largest waterpark near Agia Napa, and experience an exciting bustling night out at the many bars of Kapparis, Agia Napa, or Protaras.

The weather is sunny and warm all year round, with temperatures only really cooling off and days shortening during Dec and Jan, although the skies are still bright blue... Beautiful for a relaxing and resting holiday sunbathing on the stunning beaches.

The city of Famagusta has a long history of rule by a variety of cultures which makes it of historical interest and well worth a visit. With many small villiages earning their livelihood on the famed "red soil" of the area. The Famagusta region has high level of farming activities which makes the region beautifully green and lush in the Springtime.

Protaras

Nestling along the coast close to the border with Northern Cyprus is the beautiful resort of Kapparis.

Kapparis has a warm sunny climate for most of the year and boasts some stunning coved beaches less than 5 minutes walk from the holiday rental apartment where you can relax next to the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean. The nearest being Fireman's beach aptly named due to the location of the fire service training school at the top of the cliff. The properties overlooking Fireman's beach and the coves are famous and so sought after that they are on a strip known as "Millionaires Row". Perfect for sunbathing and relaxing, or a swim in the spectacular clear waters. See the beautiful sun rise and sun set.

Within walking distance from the apartment the coastline is scattered with sandy bays and coves which are often deserted. There are watersports incl. SCUBA diving and Jet ski at Skoutari Beach, a fishing harbour at Ayia Triada Beach, and a romantic, Cypriot taverna overlooks Sirena Bay. Other snack bars are nearby for those lazy sun filled days of sunbathing and swimming.

Unlike places like Protaras and Agia Napa - the area is lively ALL YEAR ROUND, thanks to local residential tourists who live here the whole year round. Kapparis is a popular area although not too busy or noisy and perfect for a more relaxing holiday.

The main road through Kapparis where the apartment is situated is home to several a la carte, high quality restaurants and over a dozen cafes and bars – in Summer you can eat out somewhere different locally every day for a fortnight.

There's plenty of Bars and Pubs on the doorstep and most show all major sporting events, have pool tables and one with a small video gaming area. There is a fully supplied supermarket across the road, with all “best of British” as well as Cypriot - including the simple niceties like UK newspapers.

There is a local bike rental shop and even a job centre, in the event you are looking for a long term stay.
Opposite and nearby the complex are Italian, Chinese and local Tavernas serving wonderful Cypriot dishes / next to the apartment.

At the north end of the village is the Famagusta Viewpoint ,a lookout tower where you can see across the border into the north and an information centre outlining the history of the divided Island, and a small Zoo, while at the south end is the Ocean Aquarium, which is worth a look, and whilst you are that end of town there is a lovely cove with a beautiful church overlooking the sea.

A few minutes drive (3km) or a bus ride will take you to the popular resort of Protaras which some more nice beaches on the Island including the lovely Fig Tree Bay. The main strip in Protaras has restaurants bars and clubs from all 4 corners of the globe and plenty of shops and boutiques. A little further takes you to Cape Greco with its stunning views and walks, and then on to the great resort of Ayia Napa which boasts the world famous Ayia Napa Water Park that will keep you entertained all day whatever the age.

The municipal town of Paralimni is 2 km away and is a traditional Cypriot town with a lovely centre and lots of shopping opportunities. You will find most activities somewhere in the locality.

Major motorways connect seamlessly to Kapparis giving easy access to the whole of Cyprus. Nicosia the capital of Cyprus is half an hours drive away and Larnaca airport is just over half an hour away. Pick up service from the Airport is available.

There are too many things to see and do to list here - see the excellent http://www.kapparis.info for much more information.
