We are located within walking distance to the Blue Flag Konnos Bay, accessed via a nature trail that is an extension of the E4 European Nature Trail system-Europe's absolute best! Surrounded by a full landscaping scheme, Artisan 15 benefits from shade, color and smell. The design aims to provide the resident with an experience of the diversity native to our island, at the same time enhancing the privacy of this property. This compact property is special, and we invite you to examine it with more than a casual look, especially if you are interested in environmental and interior design, architecture and landscaping. We have incorporated a double skinned roof, deep pergolas where needed and have addressed natural ventilation and lighting to the best way possible. This is a house which if properly used, does not require air conditioning at all and is ideal for children as it does not have a private pool and as it is safely enclosed, next to the Artisan children park with its many opportunities for adults and children. Though the house intentionally does not reveal its virtues from the private drive, on entry the ground floor spaces including the living room and kitchen merge completely with the mature garden of roses, jasmin, albizias and hibiscus. In particular, the whole house bia its full width windows opens up towards the garden, creating an indoor-outdoor living space of 65m2. The kitchen area opens up towards an al fresco dining table that is totally covered by a deep pergola, good for breakfast, lunch and afternoon hours. The kitchen furniture and design is absolutely top spec. We offer a complete range by Miele, a wall mounted TV and a relaxing setup. On the first floor, there is a master bedroom suite with its balcony offering sea views amidst a sea of green and tasteful architecture. The second bedroom, with two single beds, can expand to two doubles, though it is best if only one bed expands as the walking space around the two open double beds becomes limited. These two bedrooms are both are blessed with tall white ceilings, good cross ventilation and ceiling fans. The master bedroom also has the benefit of a balcony with great sea views. The two bedrooms share a bathroom, well lit-ventilated and tastefully appointed. We generate solar hot water for your use. We have provided for a small single bed room with an adjacent ground floor shower. This can be especially helpful to a elderly-though small the room is very well appointed, with a garden facing window, ceiling fans, climate control, cabinets. From experience teenagers also seem to be very fond of this room. The Artisan Resort is especially child friendly. Children and parents appreciate the Artisan's landscaped park and the gated private street. Great for nature lovers, the area offers a captivating scenery where live above and below water abounds in myriads of forms. The scuba diving in the submarine parts of the National Park is renowned. The area has been inhabited by neolithic times and offers immense interest to the interested. Couples can enjoy walks via a coastal nature path to the nearby Grecian Park hotel and its facilities, such as the Cliffs Bar, or they can venture to the seaside restaurant-bar at Konnos.

Location description from owner

The Famagusta District

Famagusta's history dates back to the Neolithic times-10,000 years of civilization are all around the Artisan Resort. The Maritime supremacy of the Western nations during the Crusaders made Famagusta the first safe destination of the traders coming from the crusader coastline of present-day Israel. Fortified appropriately and with the overall east-facing crenelated coastlines being protected from the prevailing westerly's, Famagusta grew in importance over centuries. The local people are a mix of nationalities; the village of Frenaros was set up by Mameluks, during their raids circa 1,400 AD. Ayia Napa (The Holy Forest) was a Latin outpost, surrounded by forest. Paralimni-half a day away on foot from Famagusta and its precious harbour, housed the Franks and Jews who were evicted from Famagusta when the latter came under the control of the Ottomans in 1571. Names like Abraham, Isaac, Solomon, Giovanni and others hail from there. Famagusta itself was an international trade and finance hub, its genes including Italian, French, Jewish, Arab blood. After the fall of Acre, approximately 80 years past the fall of Jerusalem to Saladin, the Franks and their Arab allies moved to Famagusta. I, the Architect/Owner of the Artisan Resort hail from Famagusta and have found the area to be a source of endless fascination. Places of history and the best beaches in the Eastern Mediterranean-caused by the Reef Limestone formation unique to the area literally abound; we would be very happy to suggest places for you to visit.

Protaras

PROTARASWith its beautiful sandy beaches Protaras has grown into one of the most popular family holiday resorts in Cyprus. Much is known about it-we prefer to describe the things that you are less likely to know about regarding the area. Fig Tree Bay has a clear turquoise sea and fine golden sand, this beach understandably appeals to both visitors and locals alike. By day Protaras is a beach resort but comes alive after dark and offers a wide range of friendly restaurants, cosy tavernas, bars with live entertainment and shopping opportunities to suit the whole family. Konnos Bay, Blue Flag, is closest to the Artisan Resort than any other property in the area. Surrounded by the protected coastline of the National Park it is a pristine and complete destination for the whole day, with full facilities. Konnos Bay is believed to have been the ancient roman city state of Lefkolla. The city possessed a small safe harbour where the Athenian Demetrius Poliorketes in the year 306 B.C. sought refuge, lying in wait for Ptolemeos, one of the successors of Alexander the Great. CAPE GRECOThe magnificent beauty of the mountain sea cliffs combined with the indigenous flora of Cape Greco is impressive. Annuals and perennials, bulbs and tuberous, assure almost year round flowers and lovely aromas. Varieties of Colchicum, Narcissus, and others also enrich the beauty of the area. Also unique are the seashore plant communities with mainly summer flowering species doing very well despite the salinity of the soil, the aridity and the high temperatures of the summer. Some of these species are Limonious sinuatum and Limonioum deifolium, Crithmum maritimum and the rare endemic Taraxacum aphrogenes, growing exclusively in Cyprus. Cut away into ten-metre sea - cliffs are caves which nature has adorned with palatial trimmings. Benches allow the opportunity to rest and gaze down into crystal clear waters. Excavations in 1992 revealed evidence that this site was one of the earliest Neolithic settlements on the island."PALACES" CAVESOne of the most intriguing landmarks of Agia Napa is known as the Palaces. Situated between Kermia Beach and Cape Greco, the Palaces are actually an original rock formation which, over the time, has been miraculously sculpted by the waves of the sea. It is not an architectural work, as may, on initial sight be perceived. A spectacular sight where swimmers dive off the rocks into the crystal clear waters, the Palaces can only be reached by boat. UNDERWATER CAPE GRECOMost people do not know that the Cape Greco National Park is half under water. Without strong sea currents, and with abundant wrecks and marine caves the area is a scuba diver's paradise. The sea temperatures, which range from about I6C in winter to about 28C in summer, forms a thermocline at a depth of 20-30 metres. The presence of a thermocline has significant effects on the vertical distribution of marine life. The richest areas in terms of quality and variety of life are below the depth of the thermocline during the summer. To the underwater visitor the bottom fauna in the shallow waters of Cape Greco may initially seem somewhat disappointing but one quickly discovers the many hidden sea creatures, which are indigenous to the area. Many bury themselves in the sand like several species of sand urchin and starfish, the Souris and the occasional spectacular Flying Gurnard. In the shallow rocky areas the common fish are Peacock and Rainbow Wrasses. Two-banded Bream (Haradjida), blennies, gobies and small parrotfish. Near rocks small groups of bearded Red Mullets (barpouni) stir up the sand for tiny shrimp. Deeper down the Pasidonia meadows provide a characteristic Mediterranean seascape. In these sometimes extensive meadows, fish fife is rich and varied including small wrasses, bream, sea perches, groupers and the odd Bullnose Ray. CLIMATECyprus has the warmest climate (and warmest winters) in the Mediterranean part of the European Union. The average annual temperature on the coast is around 24 °C (75 °F) during the day and 14 °C (57 °F) at night. Generally – summer's/holiday season lasts about 8 months, begins in April with average temperatures of 21–23 °C (70–73 °F) during the day and 11–13 °C (52–55 °F) at night, ends in November with average temperatures of 22–23 °C (72–73 °F) during the day and 12–14 °C (54–57 °F) at night, although also in remaining 4 months temperatures sometimes exceeds 20 °C (68 °F)!NEARBY ATTRACTIONS: Cape Greco National ParkKonnos Bay BeachNature TrailsWater SportsCycle PathsFig Tree BayAyia Napa Water ParkProtaras Beaches, Bars, RestaurantsHorse Riding
