Location description from owner

The Famagusta District

We are situated south of Famagusta town within the Famagusta region. There are view points into Famagusta and the history within the area is fascinating, if somewhat brutal.

Nicosia offers the opportunity of crossing into the Turkish section, but please take your passports. It is also possible to drive into this section, a short distance from the villa, again passports necessary. The administration centre of Paralimni is 2km away offering a blend of old and new with great places to eat, whilst the more vibrant Pernera and Protaras provide marvellous family and evening entertainment, a 10 min drive away.

Ayia Napa with lovely white sandy beaches, renowned night-life, marine and Water World coupled with amazing coastal sights is just a 15 min drive. However, you do not need to travel any distance as Firemans Beach, offer a lovely secluded bay with white sands and crystal blue waters, within walking distance from the villa.

Protaras

Kapparis offers fabulous places to dine, just a stroll away from villa. You will find the superb Faliros, a greek taverna, with the added attraction of the cocktail bar, DiVino's next door - thursday is greek night and well worth a visit.

The amazing Folio restaurant is ideal for that extra special meal and will be remembered experience. Many other restaurant's are to be found from Chinese, Italian, Greek, cocktail bars, cafe bars and the traditional UK pubs (all offering good food and a warm welcome). Also to be found on main road, a few mins walk away are supermarkets, off licence, bakery etc. The nearest huge supermarket is to be found on the approach road to Paralimni.

Easter is a huge festival in Cyprus and is fully celebrated with street, road and roundabouts decorated as a mark of this special occasion.

The local beach at Firemans Beach is a lovely secluded bay with crystal clear beaches. You can walk from this point into Pernara and onto Protaras. The coastal walkway has benefited from heavy investment in recent times and is a joy to take a leisurely stroll.

Water sports can be found from Malama beach, again very walk able. Boat trips are also available.

“Peace & Quiet”

Reviewed 27 Sep 2015

On arrival to the villa it was very clean and tidy. It had everything we needed. The BBQ was a lovely bonus. The location was out of the way and the peace and quiet was what we were hoping for. The beach was only a walk away and if you do want to eat out or go to a bar, there are plenty along the main road. Overall, we loved having our holiday there.

“Perfect - will be back again, and again!!”

Feel i should keep this little treasure to myself, but it only fair to offer a review: Yet another fantastic holiday at Witz End. The Villa is beautifully presented, well looked after and very clean. The rooms are comfortable and the outdoor space is exceptional, perfect for those lazy days/evenings by the pool and the barbecue facilities are just an added bonus! If you fancy dining out, there are a number of restaurants to choose from just a 5-10 minute walk away from the Villa, all reasonably priced. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk away from the Villa, where you can enjoy a walk along the coastline, its just perfect. Car and Dune Buggy hire is available locally if you fancy exploring the neighbouring towns. The Villa is a fantastic place to stay with or without children and we will certainly be returning next year for our first family holiday.

“Excellent Villa with excellent help from the owners”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2011

Stayed for October half term week as my wife is a teacher. We lived in Cyprus twenty years ago and loved going back, although as you can imagine, a lot has changed. I would recommend Cyprus for this week as not particularly busy and beaches almost deserted. Kapparis is a perfect location with easy access to get anywhere on the island. Definitely recommend any meal at Faliros in the village, first class food, wonderful service and prices that are well worth it. I would recommend this property without hesitation.

Thanks Kim and Serena for your kind review of Wits End. If we can be of any assistance at anytime in the future please do not hesitate to contact me. Kind Regards Elaine
