“Nice villa but dated”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2019

This villa has a lot of potential but it is very dated and not the cleanest. The decor is bland and poorly done. Air conditioning is good in the main area but not so in the bedroom. Having limitations put on the amount of time you should use the air conditioning and at what temperature settings was very frustrating. To go over the recommended settings you are at risk of having your deposit kept. Luckily, spent most of our time exploring the beaches and most nights out at dinner and hence did not use the air con much. I understand that some people may abuse the air con but to state that “expats only run the air con for 15 minutes before bed” is fine, but we are not an expats but holiday makers and don’t have time to acclimatise to the hot nights! The BBQ is not the one shown in the picture but rather a small portable stand alone one. The pool is an absolute joy and well maintained. For me the location is good as I like peace and quiet, but to get to the main areas a taxi or 20 minute walk is required. Having a car allows you to explore all of the lovely beaches along the coast. The hosts next door were pleasant and non intrusive. Overall I would give the villa 3 stars and this is mainly attributed to the pool and the quiet area. There is an empty property next door which adds to the peace and quiet but does give the feeling that the area I a little unkept. I would not return to the villa but it gave us the opportunity to visit Cyprus which, if you love the beaches and the sea, you are in the right place. Thanks Ian

“Excellent”

Had an Amazing holiday. Peter and Yvonne was absolutely lovely, nothing was to much trouble. The Vila was perfect the Kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Enjoyed it so much that we will be going back in August. The evenings can get a tad nippy so I would say a heated pool is needed if you have water babies. Other then that it was ideal and just what we needed. The locals are very friendly and always on hand to help.

“Villa Rachel”

Just returned from a fantastic week's holiday at Villa Rachel. The Villa was clean, very well-equipped and comfortable. The views and the pool was lovely. Thankyou Yvonne and Peter. Hope to visit again soon.

“Villa Rachel”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2018

When we arrived the villa was clean and tidy but we found that the sliding doors in the lounge could not be opened which was very disappointing as it was so hot. When we went upstairs it was clean and tidy but the blinds in the bedroom with the double bed could not be raised and was very worn, so much so you could see through it. Also the sliding doors could not be opened, so was unable to get onto the balcony. There was no net curtain in the single bed room so you had to have the blind down which again was very worn. The villa needs upgrading but having said that we enjoyed our stay, especially the pool it was lovely. We felt that there needed to be a privacy fence where the car is parked as you were seen from the street if sitting and having a meal. If the villa was upgraded we would definitely go back.

“Beautiful Villa”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2017

Stayed at this villa to attend a nearby family wedding with my husband and 81 year old mother in law. The villa was very clean and looked just like the pictures. I personally feel that you do need a car due to the location of the villa which is in a small cul de sac road away from the main drag of the resort. My biggest compliment has to go to Peter and Yvonne - nothing was too much trouble for this lovely couple - always willing to help with any enquiries we had. The main disappointment for us is the view from the patio area. None of the pictures showed that behind the villa was open farmland. The original photos of the pool must have been taken with the photographer laying down!!!!! Whilst sitting around the pool all you can see is farmland and Ibuilding works, which as I have said was quite disappointing. The builders seem to start work around 7.00 am which I suppose is understandable due to the temperatures. Because of this, we did not make use of the balcony attached to the main bedroom. The other thing to be aware of is the wind that howls down the side of the villa which makes lighting the BBQ very difficult. With the wind comes the dry dirt from the farmland which in turn makes everything in the villa covered in dust!! I still stand by my "excellent" review because as I have said the Villa inside was lovely but mainly the excellent review is given because of Peter and Yvonne - thanks guys from "the happy family"

“Villa Rachael”

After reading the reviews on this villa we decided to give it a go, we where not disappointed it was very comfortable & good pool & space, air con & good facilities. Peter & Yvonne were brilliant nothing was a problem & both went out of there way to help us. We are looking to book again next year so I suppose that says it all.

“SO TRANQUIL AND RELAXING”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2016

Stayed in villa Rachel for 10 days in June with my husband who was recuperating from major surgery. The outlook from the back garden and balcony was amazing and the pool just perfect. The villa was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped, we cooked there most nights and were not short of anything. Loved the BBQ area. Peter, Yvonne and Elliott were very friendly and helpful, Elliott does a brilliant job on the pools. Loved it so much have booked to stay in one of their other villas in October (only chose different as Rachel was not available for our dates!). We had a car but it is possible to get about without one. There are shops, bars and beach close by.
