“Perfect base for exploring”

Reviewed 16 Jun 2015

Forty Green Farm Cottage is in a beautiful peaceful spot but well located for exploring the area. We had easy day trips to Windsor, Legoland & Waddesdon Manor near Aylesbury. If we had more time I think London & Oxford would have ben in easy reach too. We all enjoyed the garden, the children loved the climbing frame & swing. Everything we needed was provided (including things which are often missing from holiday rentals such as washing up liquid, cooking oil & so on). We'd love to return one day.

“Beautiful, peaceful, cosy cottage. Recommend.”

Reviewed 11 Feb 2014

We had a very pleasant stay here for the weekend. Very well stocked, nice touches like the colour coordinated towels in each room! Open fire was real treat and there was plenty of fire wood! The landlord was extremely welcoming and helpful! Would definitely stay again.

“Cosy home from home, very child friendly”

Reviewed 1 May 2013

We spent a long weekend at this cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. From the welcoming goodies to the pre-laid fire, we felt immediately at home. The cottage is cosy and yet spacious at the same time - the garden is great for young children to run around in and there are even childrens' books and toys available to keep young minds amused. The setting is tranquil and in the heart of the countryside and yet only a few minutes drive from the M40, making it a very handy place to stay. We will hopefully be back before too long.

“Great family holiday combining the buzz of London and the tranquility of Princes Risboro”

Reviewed 29 Apr 2013

Although arriving later than we intended we were still greeted warmly by our hosts who were eager to show us the facilities and advise us on the local amenities, this was re-inforced by a wealth of literature and convenient maps. At first the location seemed a little remote, accessed by a long narrow lane, but we soon found how convenient it was for the train station and shops at PrincesRisboro, either by car or on foot via the cycle path. The facilities were excellent, well equiped farmhouse kitchen, comfortable lounge with a log fire, comfortable beds for all 5 of us. Our holiday was a combination of visiting family locally, and the oportunity to travel into London and Windsor for sight seeing and we found this cottage served that purpose well, We would recommend this to our friends and hope we can return soon to make use of its facilities and location.
