Cross country skiers can ski straight from the door and both cross country and alpine ski centres can be found just 20 minutes away by car in both directions. All of the cross country ski routes double up as mountain bike routes in the summer, with bike hire widely available. As the entire region is built on thermal springs, there is an abundance of environmentally friendly water parks. People come from all over Slovakia to visit the famous Tatralandia Park - the Alton Towers of water adventures - which is a 30 minute drive from the house.
Hotel Permon, fifteen minutes drive away, has a large and particularly luxurious spa with swimming pool, tennis and bowling amongst other activities.
Only a few minutes walk from the house are the quaint village of Pribylina and the Open Air Museum and market which are both well worth a visit. The Orensnica restaurant, offering traditional Slovakian favourites is just over a mile away on one of the many trails through the local pine forests leading up to the mountains. The celebrated 13th century Castle Hradok is found in the next village of Liptovsky Hradok and boasts an impressive international menu in sumptuous surroundings.
People with mobility difficulties: to escape the snow, the lodge is built off the ground and a few steps lead up to both entrances. Once inside the property, the entire ground floor (kitchen, living area, wc, bathroom and two bedrooms) would be easily accessible to people with mobility issues including wheelchair users.

“Great location and great atmosphere”
We had an amazing vacation! The area offers many options for various types of hikes with breathtaking views. The house is spacious and bright and the courtyard and the stream create a special relaxed atmosphere. The place is also suitable for two families with children. There is full equipment and good maintenance. Jackie the owner was very friendly and very quick to respond. She gave us good recommendations for activities in the area. We enjoyed it very much and hope to come back again in the future!

“The perfect place to get away from it all”
The really cosy and spacious Lodge with amazing and tranquil surroundings we have always dreamed of. Words can't do it justice how much fun we had and how much we felt ourselves at home. The owners went the extra mile and gave us great tips on dining and all types of winter activities near and far. Thank you again Jackie and Peter for the fantastic winter holiday we spent here. We will definitely come back in summer to discover this wonderful place more in depth.

“Lovely accommodation and realy good service”
We stayed in Tatra Lodge over christmas and new year period. First of all, the owner, Jackie, made it so easy for us to book. She was very helpful, friendly and provided us with lots of information that made our choice of staying at Tatra Lodge very easy. When we arrived the Lodge turned out to be much more specious than expected and very clean. We were met by Martin, a local person who assists Jackie in Slovakia. He showed us around and explained how everything works. The Lodge has 4 massive bedrooms, two en suit , and massive family bathroom downstairs. We wer a group of 6, two couples and two singles so we had plenty of space not to be on top of each other. The Lodge is well equiped, it even has washing powder or dishwasher tablets somyou dont have to bring any of it. Plenty of towels, duvets and sheets as well. The Lodge is located on the nicest plot in that development. It is not overlooked and it is by a lvely stream . You can hear it if the window is opened. Really nice. The only and very minor criticism that i can think of was the lack of internet. It would be useful to be ble to check the weather forecast before going skiing or check nearest restaurants etc. The location is really convenient: we drove 20 min to Jasna. We apos drove to oter nearby ski slopes and it was easy and quick. The nearest town, Liptovsky Mikulas, has all the shops, supermarket and reataurants that you need. We also went to Basenova which is the geo-thermal spas. Really recommend after all day osf ski. We have seen the caves and did plenty of walks too so the is lots and lots to see. Really recommend staying at Tatra Lodge. Jackie is just lovely and she looked after us very well.

“Great accommodation, great holiday, highly recommended!”
We really enjoyed the Tatras Lodge accommodation as well as the area (High and Low Tatras). The communication with the owner and a key holder was just great (friendly, kind and caring people!) Tatras Lodge is situated in the end of a little village Pribylina in a 'cottage area' with new built cottages/houses for recreation. The house itself has enough privacy so you can easily walk out on the terrace with your bikini. The house was clean, well equipped you have everything you need there. Is is very spacious so everyone get his privacy (two ensuites upstairs and big family bathroom (bath and shower corner) downstairs. The house is (according to our standards) our dream house we would like to live in :):):) There is much to do especially in winter, but in summer too, we visited local attractions and spas, ski resorts.. everyday was full of enjoyment and our kids were amazed. Highly recommended! If we have a chance to visit again, we definitely would!
“Fabulous house in fantastic location, will definitely return.”
Stayed at this amazing house in August of last year with another family, 6 children in total ranging in age from 7 to 12. They spent most of the day in the small river at the back of the house, picking raspberries and building campfires at night. There are plenty of activities to do around the area, the kids favourite being Tatralandia. The house was big enough for 10 people staying and of a very high standard. We definitely hope to return in the near future and would recommend this house to anyone thinking of going to Slovakia.

We spent our Christmas 2012 there me, my partner and our families from Slovakia and France and everyone loved it there.We were very pleased about the location, beauty that you can see through windows, everything we thought of we found in cupboards.It is furnished as a house that people live in.We will definitively come back in summer and will try mountain cycling etc. and sitting on that big terrace there instead of skiing :)

We felt instantly at home at Tatras Lodge which was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. Very well equiped and furnished and in a great location with easy access to the High and Low Tatras. The sunny patio provided a lovely spot for a relaxing breafast and the upstairs rooms afforded tempting views of the mountains. The area provides almost endless leisure opportunities, especially for outdoor-types. We'd certainly like to return to climb more of the mountains and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tatras Lodge to anyone planning a holiday in this part of Slovakia.
“Outstanding property - great for an outdoors family holiday”
We spent one week in the property with four children aged 9-24. The local agent was one of the most helpful we have ever come across, and the house itself is beautifully appointed. The owners have got the essentials spot on (good quality matresses, powerful showers, well-equipped kitchen, high standard of cleanliness throughout), and have been generous with supplies such as toilet rolls, washing powder and dishwasher tabs - absent in so many holiday lets and a real pain to buy in. Our kids loved the wilderness outside, and the fire pit was a real bonus.
The house is in a wonderful location and is quiet and secluded amongst the fir trees. It felt as if we were close to nature. The house itself is very spacious with enough room for a party of eight adults.The local contact person was particularly kind and helpful.
“Luxorious Rural Idyll with an "alpine" backdrop”
Just returned from a superb week in Slovakia, home to unspoilt nature reserves, mountain lakes, crystal clear streams (one which runs behind the property - ideal for a plung pool) and with welcoming locals and the best holiday home we've ever stayed in. Extremely luxurious living in a modern, purpose built log cabin in the woods. Thanks to the owners for providing such a thoughtfully presented venue with excellent local support if you want to find the next great steak restaurant, hire a mountain bike (7euros!) or book a taxi at short notice. For the more adventurous, experienced mountain guides can be arranged to scale the mighty heights of Krevan but less intrepid will enjoy level walks around nearby ski-resorts and woodland walks. Breath-taking.
