“Perfect cottage for a break”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2017

Absolutely gorgeous cottage, beautifully kept. Coffee, tea, milk and biscuits were such a lovely touch. Great base to explore from and some excellent walks. Great pubs and very warm and friendly people. Had a wonderful time and would recommend

Owner's reply: So pleased that you enjoyed our welcome pack to have a relaxing cuppa after your journey. Great places to see and to have food and drink in convivial surroundings near at hand. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you again. Kind regards Ann

“Appletree Cottage”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2017

My partner and I stayed for a week at Appletree Cottage and had a fantastic week in the small town of Presteigne and absolutely loved it. We booked the Cottage only 2 days before arriving as it was a last minute break and were not disappointed. Anne the owner phoned us before we left to make sure we had all the information we needed for our journey and stay there. The Cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed tea, coffee, biscuits and milk made our arrival feel like home from home. The thought that had gone into the Cottage was very thoughtful. Even had an umbrella lol ( which we needed ! ) We loved the real fire and the lovely feel and charm of the Cottage. Just perfect! The village itself had some great local shops and we loved the shop where they left everything out overnight and anything you want to buy you just put money in the letterbox The local pubs gave us both a very warm welcome, so friendly and helpful, We enjoyed the food in all the pubs excellent mixed grill at The Royal Oak and the best game pie ever at The Farmers Arms Thank you for a lovely week and we will definitely be back again. A hidden gem Thanks again Anne! Kind Regards Sharon and Scott From Sunderland Tyne and Wear

Owner's reply: We are so pleased that you have enjoyed your stay in our lovely character cottage which as you say is close to all amenities and in a truly beautiful area of countryside. We will tell the pubs of your feedback. There is always a good plate of food to be had in our local restaurants and pubs. Look forward to your next visit. kind regards ann

“A wonderful stay”

Reviewed 27 Feb 2017

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The cottage was beautiful, cosy and welcoming. The flagstone floors, inglenook fireplace, beams and rug covered wooden floor boards made us feel as if we were stepping back in time. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean. We appreciated the little touches such as coffee, tea and a packet of biscuits waiting for us upon our arrival. The town was just a few minutes walk away and we found the locals very friendly. We will definitely return.

Owner's reply: We are so pleased that we helped to make your anniversary special with our lovely C16th character cottage. We hope to see you again in better weather when you can enjoy the pretty south facing garden for alfresco dining and relaxing on the sun house loungers with a cuppa or a wine. Many thanks Ann & Paul
