Location description from owner

The Amalfi Coast region

CAPRI:
Lush, extraordinary, mild climate.
Capri is the Mediterranean island that has seen over the centuries by intellectuals, artists and writers, all enthralled by its magical beauty.
A mix of history, nature, life, culture, events, who meet here every day and that gave birth to the myth of Capri, a legend without equal in the world.
POMPEI:
In 1997, UNESCO declared Pompei a World Heritage Site based on cultural criteria and in consideration of the extraordinary finds from the ancient city of Pompeii, Herculaneum and neighboring cities, buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. This is a complete and living testimony of society and everyday life in a moment of the past; cannot find their equivalent anywhere in the world.
SORRENTO:
Discover the history of Sorrento, a small town known throughout the world and true hospitality center of the province of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Discover every hidden corner, full of history. Discover the many tourist activities that there are in town. The shows, the food, the churches, the traditions, the history, colors, nature, artisan will leave you with unforgettable memories and you will not disagree with the famous song "Torna a Surrient!"
ERCOLANO:
Destroyed with Pompeii in 79 AD, was rediscovered in 1709. Residential town without Pompei's commercial importance, surrounded by the villas of wealthy Romans, when the catastrophe of 79 AD Herculaneum was submerged under a torrent of mud and lava that hardened into a soft tufa, keeping intact many objects and many wooden parts of houses, which still can be seen today. However, much of the ancient city is still buried under the modern city, and even today excavations in search of other treasures lying.
POSITANO:
Positano is a town of 4000 inhabitants in the heart of the Amalfi Coast. Thanks to the mild climate and the beauty of the landscape, Positano has been a resort since the days of the Roman Empire, as attested by the discovery of a villa and more recent discoveries, dating to 2004. Typical of the many "steps" from the country that come down to the beach. The main beaches are the Spiaggia Grande and the beach of Fornillo, both within walking distance, others are La Porta, Arienzo and Laurito, all accessible mainly by boat starting from Positano. It is also famous for his fashion.
AMALFI:
The Amalfi Coast (here called Costiera) and Amalfi are part of one of the most spectacular travel in Europe through stunning scenery. Starting from Sorrento, through breathtaking scenery overlooking the sea you will reach Amalfi after about 30 km, one of the four Italian Maritime Republics and birthplace of Flavio Gioia, the inventor of the 'compass'. At the center of Amalfi stands the imposing IX-century cathedral., With its famous striking faade decorated with gilded XIX-century mosaics.
From Amalfi is easy to visit another beautiful and famous tourist destination, Ravello.
RAVELLO:
Its villas "Rufolo" and "Cimbrone" are famous worldwide. Probably founded by the Romans in the sixth century, arrived between those mountainous areas considering them a good shelter to escape the ravages of the barbarians vandalism, the earliest record of Ravello goes back to the ninth century. From this village you can enjoy one of the most spectacular view of the entire Amalfi Coast.
NAPOLI:
Naples is located in A central position on the gulf, between Vesuvius and the volcanic area of Campi Flegrei in a scenario called "one of the most celebrated and beautiful in the world." Its vast artistic and architectural heritage is protected by UNESCO, whose commissions have included since 1995, the historic center of Naples between the sites of the World Heritage Site. Naples is the third administrative unit in population after Rome and Milan, with 962,447 inhabitants, while its metropolitan area, depending on the data to which it refers, is between 3 and 5 million people.

Praiano

PRAIANO:
Praiano is located in the heart of the Amalfi Coast between Positano and Conca dei Marini and Amalfi. The center of Praiano is between 80 and 180 meters above sea level, with scattered houses up to 1122 meters. At the time of the Republic of Amalfi, Praiano was chosen as the summer residence of the Doges of Amalfi, a testimony of a vocation in this country for good and relaxing holiday, far from the usual tourist flows.
At the center of the upper part of town, in a beautiful panoramic position, is the main church. The lower part of Praiano stretches towards the Marina di Praia, a beach between two high rock walls. Nowadays Marina di Praia is a seaside resort with day trips by boat you can visit the nearby coast, particularly the striking Suppraiano Caves and the Cave of the Africana.
