Family owned, comfortably furnished ground floor apartment used by the owners their family and friends , with small private garden, less than a ten minute walk from the glorious safe, sandy, blue flag beach.
Ideal for beach or activity holiday being very close to 4 local golf courses, with wonderful walks, water sports, sea fishing and horse riding all nearby. Boat trips to see the grottoes, watch the dolphins, go deep sea fishing and trips to water theme parks are all available and can be booked locally.
A car is not necessary but will enable you to explore further afield. Inland to the beautiful Monchique mountains or the lovely old sandstone fortress at Silves. Maybe a trip to 'the end of the world' (Cap St Vincent) and up the west coast with its magnificent deserted beaches.

Any fees or prices more than compensate for this, showing, at peak season a discount of at least £200 per week.

If the pool is not a priority with you and, with the added bonus of a small private garden, why not try our apartment, just 10 minutes walk from the beach. After all, the beach is free for everyone.

We can give details of day passes etc at other resorts with Pool facilities in the area on request.

Large sitting/dining room, fully fitted kitchen with washing machine, full cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave. Two bedrooms (1 double - 1 twin) Bathroom.
We can supply a cot and high chair on request for no extra charge.
The garden with its large outside eating area, makes it ideal for children to play while Mum and Dad sip a glass of wine and the barbecue heats to perfection. Furnished with table and chairs for 4 it also has the advantage of 4 sun-loungers.
All this is set within beautiful communal gardens with plenty of room to run and play.

Further details outdoors

The complex is within the village of Praia da Luz, which has several well stocked supermarkets and many excellent restaurants and bars. The lovely old unspoilt town of Lagos with its Marina, shops and nightlife is only 5 kms to the east.

The Algarve region

The Algarve, being on the Atlantic coast always has a cooling breeze so it rarely feels too hot even in the height of the season. However this does mean that you have to be aware and cover up during the hottest part of the day.
There is a wealth of history in the area from the Romans and Moors who both left their mark, to the many famous discoverers of the 15th and 16th centuries. The old slave market (now an art gallery) in Lagos is worth a visit as is the fort.

Praia da Luz

There is a weekly farmers market behind the bus station in Lagos on Saturdays and a large monthly market on the 1st Saturday of the month.
You have to be up early to get to the indoor market in Praia da Luz. If you manage it however, you will find fruit and vegetables and locally caught fish.
I have known Praia da Luz for over 20 years and I have never made it yet!

“Good situation, spacious, clean & well equipped - Highly recommended.”

We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks at this spacious ground floor apartment & the garden area is definately a bonus. On arrival the apartment was spotlessly clean & also very pleased with frequent clean & linen change facilities. The area is very quiet and property not overlooked. The TV system & reception are not particularly good, but I understand that there is a general problem in the whole block, however this is a minor setback. For general situation, facilities and great value for money, we recommend this property highly and it is our intention to revisit next year or maybe sooner?

“Spacious apartment in a great location”

This apartment is so good we have been back and stayed about 5 times now. We have been at all times of the year including Easte, Christmas, Summer and Autumn. The apartment is really spacious with two large bedrooms, both of which have fitted wardrobes and pleanty of storage. One has twin beds and the other a double bed. We have only used the double bed, and I can definitely say it is really compfortable. The lounge is large, light and airey, with a dining area, tv and DVD player. The kitchen fully equipped and has a washing machine (with instructions!), full sized cooker, toaster and microwave. The kitchen and lounge are open plan design. The bathroom is modern with a good power shower. Everything is immaculately clean just like what you would expect at home. The windows have shutters which is great, as it allows you to sleep soundly and not be interrupted by the early morning bright sunlight! The garden is sunny all day, and has sun loungers, tables and chairs to use. The apartment is well designed being cool in the summer but still bright and cheery, you do not need air con! In the winter there are electric heaters in the aprtment if it gets a bit chilly in the evenings. There is a carpark specifically for the apartments directly outside. The apartment is well located for the beautiful sandy beach at Luz and the facilities Luz has to offer including restuarants and bars. I recommend Habanas bar to watch the sunset from, and Amici's restuarant (near Barclays Bank) for a special evening out. We always hire a car when we stay here as there are so many lovely sandy beaches to visit along the coast line, as well as a trip to Lagos for shopping or lunch at the splendid Marina. There are dive facilities in Sagres and Lagos. My husband dives and I would recommend diving with Danny and Annabelle at Diverse Scuba at Sagres as they are so friendly and helpful, even to me a non diver! I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to all my family and friends, and definitely intend to return again next year.

“Great Apartment, good location with nice private garden”

My wife and I stayed mid February 2012 for a week and had 7 days of brilliant weather. The apartment was a good size and had everything we needed for a good holiday, well equipped kitchen, good sized lounge comfortable bed and private garden with plenty of space to sunbathe. It's also within walking distance of the beach and Luz's good range of restaurants and bars. All in all we had an extremely pleasant holiday, so much so we have already booked to return in October.
