2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 2 living rooms sleeps a maximum of 4, beautifully restored late medieval apartment in the heart of Prague overlooking the Gothic Charles Bridge (begun in 1357) with its majestic Baroque statues, the Vltava River and many of the city’s landmark spires.

The apartment is on the 3rd (top) floor of this quiet private house, which has only one apartment per floor. There is no lift but the stairs are wide and easy to climb, with a landing on each floor. Being at the top of the house affords the best views across the city.

The street U Luzickeho Seminare is in the prestigious, historic central area of Mala Strana, Prague 1, a few minutes’ walk from Charles Bridge and from many of the city’s top restaurants, cafes, wine bars etc. However, the street itself is remarkably quiet and peaceful, especially in the evenings.

The apartment 70m² = 753ft² has been completely renovated, and is furnished and equipped to an excellent standard. It has wooden floors (with rugs) and the original ceiling beams. The two bedrooms each have a queen sized bed and are at opposite sides of the apartment, with each adjoining another room (dining room and living room respectively) and then there is a central hallway. So, the layout affords very good space and privacy. There is a well-equipped full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, kettle, coffee machines, toaster, hob and oven. The bathroom has a full laundry facility (washing machine,dryer and drying rack) in addition to bath, (with shower overhead), toilet with bidet spray, heated towel rail and hair dryer.

There is a delightful bakeshop two minutes away and a mini market with cash point machine at less than five minutes’ walk. In the apartment you will find my personally prepared handbook of local information, re. transport, walks, shops, and my personal restaurant choices, (with their websites) with even how many minutes’ walk they are from the apartment. There is also a phone on which you can make free local calls to make reservations etc.

Maps and many guide books and leaflets are supplied as is a VIP card for the best local exchange office. Free Wi-Fi with strong signal throughout the apartment. Flat screen television with satellite channels. DVD player with a good library of English language DVD films.

All forms of public transport -metro, tram and bus are also in the immediate area, but are not at all within earshot. The great location of the apartment means you can visit all the top attractions in Prague on foot. I can arrange an English speaking taxi driver to meet you at the airport or train station and take you to the apartment, so that you have no worries when you arrive in Prague.

Getting around

My apartment is very centrally located within easy & pleasant walking distance of all the major sites. If public transport is needed, metro and tram are 5 minutes walk away but are not at all within earshot. Useful advice re taxis and how to use public transport are supplied in the apartment, as are maps and guides.

Interaction with guest

I greet my guests personally and spend as much time as they wish to familiarise them with the apartment and area. Even before arrival, I send a lot of useful information and provide many personal recommendations, maps and guide books in the apartment. During the stay, I am available to solve problems and to answer questions. My aim is to ensure the best possible experience for my guests.

House rules

Children over 5 are welcome - but apartment is not suitable for younger children.
It's a family house - party groups not accepted. Noise must be limited from 22.00 to after 8.00 am
Please note: house is from 1570 and has no lift. The apartment is on the third (top) floor. Three flights of stairs with a landing on each floor. The stairs are wide and easy to climb.
Guests also need to be aware that there are two bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed so there are only two beds in the apartment.

If Clare (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
