Location description from owner
The Bohemia region
Prague is a great place to visit year round. Prague is the centre of Central Bohemia, which is in Central Europe. Moderate climate - with lovely seasonal changes.
Prague boasts a wealth of architectural gems. The major sites of interest include: Prague Castle with St Vitus Cathedral, Petrin Hills with its own funicular, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square and many wonderful churches.
The apartment is located in a very pretty cobbled street in the area of Mala Strana. Mala Strana is the more sophisticated, more peaceful, calm and green side of the river providing a welcome escape from the more touristy hubbub & bustle of the Old Town. Mala Strana also has so many of its own delights in the narrow cobbled streets surrounding the apartment and up to the Castle and Petrin Hills.
Mala Strana is the the oldest and most sophisticated quarter of Prague. Mala Strana gained town status in 1257. The Baroque churches and palaces which give the area its charm date from the 17th & 18th centuries.

“Wonderful apartment in a fantastic location”
The apartment itself is beautiful, it was such a privilege to stay in a such a historical building. Initial impressions were overwhelmingly positive, it was incredibly clean and the pictures do not truly reflect the charm of the place. The location could not be bettered - although you are so close to all the tourist hotspots, the apartment offers a quiet sanctuary at the end of a busy day. The guide provided by Clare gives excellent and accurate reviews of shops/sights/restaurants ensuring your time spent out of the apartment is equally as enjoyable. There is so much provided in the apartment to make the stay as easy as possible. Towels, washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen as well as all the modern conveniences wifi, TV, an extensive DVD collection etc. Everything was so well thought out and I have nothing but happy memories of my weekend in Prague and this apartment was a major factor in that.
“Beautiful apartment in an amazing location”
This apartment is spotless and very well laid out with tow completely separate double rooms, which have in effect separate living quarters. The opportunity for privacy is remarkable given the compact cozy feel of the space. The facility is extremely well equipped with laundry facilities, and kitchen gadgets (blender coffee grinder and so on). The beds are very comfortable and clean. The owner gave us a full review of things when we arrived and was very welcoming. She also recommended various cafes and restaurants as well as suggestions of things to do. My friend and I felt totally at home here. The views( the Charles bridge and street view) are incredible, and Prague's musical performers on the bridge waft into the apartment from time to time. The location is perfect just a 3 minute walk to the Charles bridge in Malostranska, with the old town, the Jewish community, the Kafka museum and Kampa park all within easy walking distance. I could not imagine a better option for accommodation in Prague.
“A charming well appointed apartment in an excellent location.”
The apartment is in an excellent location overlooking the Charles Bridge. Going to bed at night was very pleasant looking over the gas lit Charles Bridge. It is approx. 600 years old and is spacious and has a small laundry and a well appointed kitchen which is most helpful when travelling. The instructions for the apartment are detailed and includes very helpful assistance with tourist attractions and recommendations for restaurants. The owner met us at the apartment and kindly arranged for transport to and from the apartment, provided a Christmas tree for our arrival and some treats which were greatly appreciated. It should be noted that there are three flights of stairs to gain access to the apartment.
“Amazing location, clean and spacious! Clare is very attentive owner!”
In one sentence-very nice and cozily! I was with my parents, except weather everything was fine and as expected. I advice this appartment for all people who is interested in tourism in Prague. Location is just excellent for this purpose!
“Five perfect days in Prague”
Dear Clare and Tony, Thank you very much for making our stay in Prague SO wonderful! The location of your flat was ideal for our Prague exploration as it is the epicenter of Prague's oldest areas. Additionally, the backdrop of the Charles Bridge from your flat couldn't be more perfect! We walked everywhere - all through Malá Strana, to Hradčany and Prague Castle, to Staré Mesto and to Josefov, exploring streets, shops, churches and admiring architecture at our leisure. We even watched the peacocks roost in the 13th c. Vojan Park across the street from your apartment! However the little touches, that we're finding so many self-catering apartments lack, really made our stay complete. We especially appreciated your helpful recommendations for good places to eat; your suggestions of things to do, which are not necessarily in guide books; having a library of books available; having games and many DVDs available; having paper towels, napkins and other essentials on hand; and having a festive Christmas tree set up and decorated. :) We also truly appreciated having thorough instructions upon our arrival regarding how to properly use/set the various fixtures...stove, locks, washer/dryer, etc. Thanks again for making this trip such a memorable one for my daughter and me! Happy New Year! All the best, Chary and Robin
“The Perfect Place to Stay in Prague”
This apartment is spacious, modern, and comfortable. It has two bedrooms, a full bath, washer and dryer, a full kitchen, a dining room/office, a good-sized living room with flat screen TV. The apartment is very nicely decorated. Clare meets you with a smile, describes everything in the apartment, and provides loads of information about places to eat and visit. Even before we got there, she was happy to email back and forth to take care of arrangements including a taxi to the airport. She arrived at the appointed time as we were leaving to make sure that the taxi arrived and that we were safely off to the airport. The apartment itself is in the wonderful, old Mala Strana district, with cobble-stoned sidewalks and streets. Great restaurants are within a few minutes from your door. The location is outstanding. Open the window in the back and you look directly on the Charles Bridge and the river. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go; but, in addition, public transportation is very close by. Especially remarkable is how quiet the apartment is. The master bedroom is in the back, and we were able to sleep as late as we wished without noise. We would stay there again without doubt and recommend it highly to friends. Although it was not a problem for us, people who book this apartment should know that it has no elevator (it's a 16th century building) and is on the third floor.
“Fantastic apartment in the centre of Prague”
We stayed in Clare's apartment for 9 days and it was a lovely base from which to explore Prague. The apartment is on the top floor of an ancient building right in the middle of the Mala Strana and overlooks the Charles Bridge. There were 3 of us staying and the apartment was spacious enough for us all to have some privacy. Really comfortably furnished with lots of personal touches made it feel very homely. Very well equipped kitchen with all the mod cons. Clare provided a helpful guide to the area, including good nearby restaurants which came in handy. Tony and Clare met us at arrival and when we left and were really friendly and professional. Definitely recommend to others.
