Cancleave is situated in beautiful North Cornwall, on the coast road between Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay. Standing in around half an acre of lawned garden bordering the coast path, it commands extensive views across Bude Bay right the way to Lundy Island on a clear day. The property lies within the North Cornwall designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as well as the Boscastle to Widemouth SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). Nearby Widemouth Bay, Bude and Crackington Haven beaches are all patrolled by RNLI lifeguards on a seasonal basis, as are many of the other beaches in the area. Cancleave makes a great base to expolore the many attractions and delights that North Cornwall has to offer. From the coast path outside the gate, to Rick Stein's Padstow Restaurants and the highly acclaimed Eden Project slightly further afield, there is something for everyone. The attractions are too numerous to list and the best bit is exploring for yourself.

North Cornwall is a stunning area, packed with natural beauty and resources. It boasts many beautiful surf beaches and secluded coves as well as picturesque wooded valleys and the wild expanse of Bodmin Moor. There are many stunning fishing villages with narrow streets and alleys, all steeped in a rich history.
In recent years it has become increasingly famous for its many excellent restaurants and eateries, from great local pub food to the finer dining offered by the likes of Rick Stein, Nathan Outlaw and Jamie Oliver.
All in all, North Cornwall is a great destination for a wide range of holidays. Perfect for families and individuals alike it offers a wealth of outdoor activities as well as being the perfect destination to simply relax and recharge your batteries.

Poundstock

There are many attractions in the area, too numerous to list them all but here follows a selection:

· South West Coast Path - Stretching 630 miles from Minehead to Poole Harbour, one of its most beautiful and spectacular sections passes outside the garden gate in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as well as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The stunted oaks of Dizzard Woods are a short walk to the south and to the north lies Millook with it's famous geological zig zag rock folds and spectacular surf when conditions are right.

· Nearby Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, giving great walks and views. See both coasts from the top of Roughtor on Bodmin Moor.

· Surfing - This area boasts some of the best and most consistent surf in the country. From sheltered beach breaks to heavy reefs there is something to suit everyone from beginner to seasoned pro.
