Casa La Riva is a huge summer residence located in Positano in a 5-houses complex which offers a shared pool (only for guests use), a semi private beach with a private access all surrounded by one of most enchanting garden of this sweet little village.
This complex was a 13th century watch tower surrounded by trees, nowadays exploit as holiday estate, which includes 5 houses, is a unique property thanks to its position where from you can enjoy the marvelous view over Positano's bay and the Amalfi coastline.
Casa La Riva features 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, two terraces, a shared pool, private access to the beach as well as an indoor pool (only for Casa La Riva's guests) and can accommodate up to 8 people.
This splendid house offers a nicely furbished living room with TV, music system and DVD player, a large kitchen well equipped, an indoor dining area as well as an outdoor dining area all equipped with table and chairs, fantastic sofas and armchairs all with the best view over the bay.
There are 3 terraces, the garden terrace that features sitting and dining facilities, a terrace with a solarium on the bedrooms level, and the other located on a lower level that offers and outdoor shower to cool off on the warmest days.
The breathtaking garden includes olive trees, lemons, tangerines and pomegranates, which are mixed with typical species of the Amalfi Coast, such as the carob tree, the Opuntia vulgaris (prickly pear cactus), the aloe, the giant agave the Euphorbia Canariensis and Bougainvillea are also stramonium, echeveria, cycas, clematis, euphorbia, hibiscus and jasmine.
Special remarks:
The property is located below the street level and there are about 70 steps both downhill and uphill along a footpath. We suggest using town porters for the luggage. The fee is € 15 per piece from 7 AM to 9 PM (€ 20 per piece if arriving by boat) and € 20 per piece from 8 PM to 8 AM. Costs may vary.
The closest parking is "Central Parking Di Gennaro", daily cost starting from Euro 40, depending on the type of vehicle (direct payment). Distance about 10 minutes uphill, from the parking lot to the property.
The nearest grocery is: Delicatessen.
Pharmacy, bar, patisserie / rotisserie, banks and groceries all in Piazza dei Mulini, about 5 minutes walk downhill from the property.
Neighborhood and transport:
Located along steep slopes on the central Amalfi coast, Positano is today a sophisticated tourist destination. Characterized by its Moorish architecture and the steep steps that lead from the village to the beach, this picturesque town has long been a favorite destination for artists, musicians and famous writers. The two main beaches, Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo, are both within walking distance; the others are reached mainly by sea. Ferry boats do daily service if you want to take a day trip to Capri and Ischia.
Rental Rules:
Minimum stay 7 nights, arrival-departure days: Saturday. In low season 4 nights.
Check in: from 4pm until 8pm. A late check-in is possible up until 10pm with an extra charge of Euro 80. Check out: by 10:00.
An extra charge of €40 is applicable for Sunday check-ins before 8 PM.

The guests are kindly required to take with them copies of their passports.
The shared swimming pool is open 9AM to 6PM from May 1st through October 10th (depending on weather conditions).
Security Deposit (refundable):
Upon arrival you will be asked to pay a damage deposit of € 500. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
Additional Expenses:
City tax: from 1st April to 31st October € 2,50 per person (from 10 years onwards) per day.
