Description

The House is situated in a very quiet, child-friendly cul-de-sac, only 7 min walk away from the Promenade, which provides daily entertainment and plenty of ice cream :o), even the award winning sandy beach in Portstewart is only 15 minutes walk from the house.

The home is cosy and bright with a spacious and bright kitchen, a very cosy front room and a toilet downstairs.

Upstairs are 3 Bedrooms to sleep up to 6 people (1 double bed,1 king sized bed, and a loft bed with a recliner futon beneath), a bathroom with a bath and over head shower, WC, basin. All linen & towels are provided.

The house is fully equipped, including linen, toys,DVDs, books, board games and the Internet (just bring your own laptop etc) for rainy days beside a nice log fire. The enclosed garden has a decked area and a BBQ as well as other items to use like ball, bucket and spades for the beach if needed. There is a dry covered area to the side of the house which could be used for hanging washing,

Portstewart is situated on the north coast of Ireland, Not far away from The World Heritage Site. Giant's Causeway. Other nearby sites and places include, the worlds oldest whiskey Distillery at Bushmills, which has been there since 1743. Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is well worth a visit, as well as the panoramic views from the causeway coast road.It is only a 3 mile drive to Coleraine, a good shopping town, where The Causeway Speciality Market is held outdoors around the town hall on the second Saturday of each month or visit Riverfest in August and experience Wakeboarding,Jet skiing & Water Skiing or view the 'All Ireland Strong Man & Strong Woman finals. Under an hour's drive to the 2013 city of culture, Derry / Londonderry and it's just over an hour's drive to Belfast the capital.Local airports are approximately an hour's drive, with seaports being just over an hour's driveCounty Donegal is approximately a 20 mile drive via the ferry across the foyle estuary from Magilligan to Greencastle.There is a great museum in Greencastle, The Inishowen Maritime Museum & Planetarium.

Portstewart

Portstewart is a charming holiday resort on the north coast with an awarding winning beach which can be accessed on foot and by car. There are plenty of restaurants, each with their own unique style. Along the promenade there are cosy wee cafe's where you can watch the waves or simple chill out with a friend. There are some nice bars with decent pub grub and live bands.There is coastal walk between the promenade and the main beach area which goes along the cliff edge.The sea in this area is great for wind surfing and kayaking and there are local companies offering these sports as well as sea fishing from the coast or by boat hire. There are also daily boats to Rathlin Island, a popular bird watching sanctuary.If your into golf, there is a links course in nearby Portrush and two local courses in Portstewart.
