Gulls Cry is situated in a fantastic position with sea/beach view, right on the North Coast Path and about 100 metres from beach.

The property is located on Cornwall's North Coast between St Ives and Newquay at the 'quiet' end of the beach, known as 'Smugglers Cove', easily reached on a small road with private parking. The village is in easy walking distance providing Shops, Restaurants and 3 Pubs and Takeaways. Safe, sandy beach patrolled by lifeguards and also ideal for surfing. Surf lessons available in Portreath from West Cornwall Adventure Surfing. Experienced surfers will enjoy the challenge of the harbour wall.

Central to many attractions in Cornwall with the main A30 road less than 4 miles away. Part of the main house at Gulls Cry, extended and refurbished for 2013 to create this new holiday let. It has 3 bedrooms - one with king size double bed and en-suite bathroom. Also large family bathroom, bedroom 2 with 2 single beds and bedroom 3 with bunk beds (2). Lounge with 3 piece suite, sofa bed (4') sea/beach views, 42' HD TV with Sky sports and films. Well equipped kitchen/diner with washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer.

There is a garden with sea views and table and chairs. Wi-fi internet available. Discounts in low season for 2 people.

Portreath nestles in a valley between high cliffs with a secluded sandy beach which is ideal for the family.

The beach is clean and safe for children as well as providing good surfing for those who do not want to travel elsewhere.

The village has a friendly atmosphere and caters for most needs of visitors whether holidaying in the area or touring whilst based in the village. The village has 3 pubs, with many more within a few miles.

It is within a 40-minute drive of the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Maritime Museum, many surf beaches, golf clubs.

For the holiday-maker who prefers to keep to the local area, there are many facilities to enjoy including the beautiful beach for swimming, surfing and windsurfing, fishing, the National Trust coastal footpath with unsurpassed, breathtaking scenery and inland wooded and parkland walks where wild flowers and many species of birds abound.

"Perfect for a seaside break."

Stunning location in a very quiet spot overlooking a beautiful sandy bay. The accommodation and facilities were of a very high standard with great access to cliffs and walks. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to anyone.

"Superb accommodation with magnifient views"

The accommodation is spacious and comfortable with very tasteful decor. The owners welcomed us warmly and made us feel immediately at home. Fully functional kitchen equipped with everything you would need for a long stay with family! Large high quality clean white fitted bathroom of which I especially liked the spot lighting and large shower! Also to have an en-suite on the 1st bedroom was ideal. Stunning sea views from lounge area especially, yet all you need to do is step outside and experience a spectacular panorama of sea, hills, cliffs and sky! The accommodation is sheltered and private and has immediate access to the hilltop paths behind which go for miles. Beautiful views leading up to property. Wi-fi connected for us fine, and very much enjoyed the large TV with loads of channels including Sky Sports, although there was hardly any time for TV as you could literally step outside the house and throw a stone to hit the beach! Thanks once again, I will be booking again VERY soon indeed!

"A beautiful location with sandy beach on your doorstep"

We stayed here for three nights in April. The property is an extension of the owner's house and has been recently completed. It is reached via a VERY narrow road so small car recommended. Parking was a bit of a problem as access is shared with a few other properties, although the owner assured us once his own property is completed there will be two parking spaces available. Good quality building work with a new kitchen and bathrooms, en-suite in main bedroom. Slightly disappointed that the property didn't have the view I was expecting from the lounge but when it is right on the beach it doesn't really matter! Internet access not available while we were there, but the owner assured us this would be addressed.All in all, a very nice property in a beautiful location.

Unfortunately some factual errors in this review. The 'narrow' road is wide enough for large 'Sprinter' vans, easily passable with Transits and no problem for large cars. It is single lane with passing spaces. The internet is fully functional - not a good wi-fi signal to the end bedrooms, but good for the lounge, kitchen and main bedroom. More updated photographs show the view from the lounge. The parking spaces are fully sorted out now, so no problems there.
