Situated in the Serra d'Aire and Candeeiros Natural Park, Retiro da Avó Lídia offers rustic-style interiors with natural, stone walls and high, wooden ceilings. Lagoa Pequena is 2 km away.

Flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi are standard in all rooms. Guest rooms are air-conditioned and have tea and coffee making facilities.

Guests can relax in front of the fireplace in the shared lounge. For those who are more active, Retiro da Avó Lídia can organise cycling, hiking and horse riding trips. Staff at reception is available 24 hours a day.

Meals can be prepared in the communal kitchen, equipped with an oven, cutlery and a microwave. There is also a dining area overlooking the picturesque garden. Barbecue facilities are available as well.

Ancient land , Porto de Mos ( Portus of Molis ) has traces of several civilizations, including the Roman civilization ( Roman road Alqueido da Serra) , Muslim, and of fossils and dinosaur bones exposed in the municipal museum . D. Fuas Roupinho , a notable figure of national history , was the first mayor of Porto de Mos Castle , which has defended heroics immortalized in " The Lusiads " of Lus de Cames . The castle, with palacianos aspects and triangular floor has 4 towers dating from the time of D. Afonso , Count of Ourm .

Visitors can also see the mother church of S. Joao Batista with a Romanesque portal. Inside, the main altar has a rich golden decoration size .

In the eighteenth century , the church of St Peter , Baroque , belonged to the Convent of the Discalced Augustinians .

The Chapel of Sto . Antonio is a small shrine of pilgrimage , lined with tiles of the eighteenth century.

The chapel of St. George , located in the village of St. George , 6 km from the city of Porto de Mos, remember the battle of Aljubarrota . Beside the chapel, you can see the famous medieval armadillas " Wolf Caves " and visit the Military Museum to reconstitute some aspects of the battle that took place on August 14, 1385 between the armies of Portugal and Castile.

Porto de Mos is also a town full of natural resources : split point for exploring the Natural Park of Serra de Aire and Candeeiros as well as the discovery of the caves of Alvados , Sto. And Antonio Mira de Aire . The nature park will provide scenic beauty big as Beggar depression , we find gaps Arrimal , stone mills Portela Vale Espinho , and forests of oaks.

On the plateau of the Sierra de Sto . The polje of Mira de Aire / Minde separates the Sierra de Sto . It has recently been discovered a trail of dinosaur footprints in the " Pedrera do Ned " ( eastern flank of the Sierra de Aire) , about 10 km from Ftima , in the village of Bairro , in a protected area of the Natural Park Air Saws and Candeeiros . The Jurassic limestone slab medium , with about 175 million years , has hair least 20 tracks . Some of those tracks have more than 100 meters long.
