Renovated in 2013, Blossom Barn has 2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed and ensuite, and the other a twin which can be configured as a super kingsize bed. There is also plenty of room for a cot. Tri-fold doors allow the light to flood into the open plan living space, which includes modern furniture and fully fitted kitchen. Fold back the doors and dine-out on the decking with a BBQ.

Penwarne Manor is flanked by beautiful woods, beaches, country lanes and coastal paths. The nearest beach is Portmellon, a family friendly cove which provides a safe environment for swimmers. It also has a local pub.

The village of Mevagissey is a 15 minute walk away. Featuring numerous shops and cafes. It is also one of the few working harbours in this part of Cornwall.

Within a 10 minute drive are Gorran Haven (another family friendly beach with some amenities and toilets), Hemmick Beach (beautiful and unspoilt) Vault (a bit more remote) and Caerhays Beach (also with some amenities and toilets).

For those who want to venture further afield there is the Roseland peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty.Other places to visit within an hour are St. Mawes, Padstow, Newquay, Wadebridge, Falmouth, Truro and Watergate Bay. We're ideally situated for exploring both the North and South coasts, each with something different to offer.

The Eden Project is nearby, around a 20 minute drive away. The Lost Gardens of Helligan (including the excellent Lobbs Farm Shop which sells a wide range of local, organic produce) is only a 10 minute drive away.

“EXCELLENT PROPERTY AND PEACEFUL, RELAXING LOCATION.”

Reviewed 13 Apr 2014

Wonderful, peaceful location surrounded by fields but within walking distance to the sea. We stayed in Blossom Barn with two bedrooms, one being ensuite. The property has been converted to a very high standard and was very comfortable and well equipped with all essentials for a holiday break. The only downside we found was that there is not enough storage space in the bedrooms. They would benefit from both hanging space and drawer space, as at the moment there is only a wardrobe in one bedroom and a chest of drawers in the other. The owners Vicky and Nathan were on hand if required, but unobtrusive. An essential food welcome pack was provided and the homemade chocolate brownies were incredibly moorish and very welcome after a long car journey. There are plenty of eating places in Mevagissey and we recommend the Salamander restaurant for freshly cooked fish and meat dishes, with friendly staff. Overall we had a wonderful time in an incredibly beautiful part of Cornwall and would highly recommend staying at Penwarne Manor Barns.
