Description

Fisherman's cottage is a 2 bedroom terraced property, which can accommodate 6 guests (not 6 adults, no all female or male guests). It has been furnished to a very high standard and is modern and tastefully decorated throughout. It is situated in a lovely courtyard overlooking the Severn Estuary. The stylish marina is very near to the cottage. The cottage has a double bedroom and a twin room (with bunk beds), also a comfortable pull out settee that sleeps 2 downstairs, (a travel cot available if required), a shower room with bath upstairs and a downstairs toilet and hand basin. A comfortable, open plan living room with kitchen, dining area and seating area. The cottage has wifi and Sky TV. Outside there are lovely views over the Severn Estuary and the Severn bridge to Wales. To the left of the property there is a new lifeboat station which is where the lifeboats launch, along with a gift shop, which is a great attraction.The surrounding area is great for walking,exploring, fishing,shopping

There are plenty of nearby supermarkets which include:- Morrisons, Aldi, Waitrose and Iceland, so no need to fill your car up with shopping before your journey as you can do it when you arrive, and they are all within easy walking distance along the marina.** Highly recommended - The Windmill - pub/restaurant (would have to go in car) its along the coastal road towards Clevedon, beautiful meals and fantastic views**.Portishead's stylish new marina development, Port Marine, houses up to 150 boats and has been developed as the centrepiece of a large urban renewal programme. The area is well worth a visit, to see the newly developed area and the striking public art. The work of several internationally acclaimed sculptors are on view here.Portishead is magnificently situated, with sweeping views of the Severn Estuary, the Welsh coastline, both Severn bridges to one side and the beautiful and scenic Gordano Valley to the other. Nearby attractions include:- The picturesque Lake Grounds which offer plenty of space for children to play, and is ideal for relaxing, admiring the spectacular views or watching the cricket or bowls. This is a great place to picnic, and refreshments are also available from the café. There is an open air swimming pool close by, a zoo farm, a fascinating farm and retail museum and superb National Trust houses and gardens. The Windmill Inn modern times has served the community as a public house since 2000. Portishead marina is established as one of the best equipped marina facilities in the south west. Portishead marina holds a strategic position in the Bristol channel. The marina has been awarded 5 gold anchors, the highest award given by the TYHA. 
Battery Point is one of the many areas surrounding Portishead. Others include Clapton in Gordano, Weston in Gordano and Weston Down

we had a fantastic stay at fishmans cottage very clean and every thing we needed , plenty of places to eat good walks, and places to visit , I would recommend this place to anyone,we loved it and will re-book at a later date.

Comfortable stay for family of 2 adults & 3 children. Great location, lovely walks in local area & around marina. Close to several supermarkets & pub 2 mins walk away serving great meals.
