The Nook is a beautifully presented character cottage that sleeps up to six people. And has been awarded a 5 star rating by Visit Wales.

Located in Morfa Lane, Porthcawl, The Nook is on a private road of mews cottages built around 200 years ago and is close to Porthcawl town centre, an array of local amenities and, crucially, the beach!

This quaint cottage has inglenook fireplaces in the lounge and dining room and natural stonewalls on both floors. There is gas central heating with thermostat control but the very realistic gas log burning fires really add to the charm. The open plan living style extends to the kitchen which leads to a small, enclosed rear courtyard where bikes and sandy shoes can be stored.

To the first floor are two good size bedrooms and the bathroom. The master bedroom has a dressing table with vanity mirror, super king-size bed and mirrored wardrobes along one wall. The second bedroom has twin beds, dressing table and benefits from having an ensuite with WC and sink unit. The main bathroom comprises of bath, with shower over, WC, sink unit and storage space.

Although it has a traditional feel, The Nook has all of the amenities you would expect to see, including, built-in fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, hair dryer, iron, TV, DVD player, Sky television and Wi Fi. All of the amenities you need to enhance your holiday.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rachel (the owner) a message.

If Rachel (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
