Location description from owner

The South Wales region

Porthcawl is a beautiful seaside town with a variety of activities for all. We have the funfair on Coney Beach, Porthcawl marina which has recently undergone regeneration (and there is more to come with the Harbourside development project) and a year round calendar full of festivals and carnivals. There are several restaurants and pubs within the town itself and the surrounding villages, each with something different to offer, including a wide choice of menus and award winning ales. The Hi-tide Inn specialises in cabaret but if that’s not for you, have a look at what’s on at the Grand Pavilion.

Porthcawl

As you can imagine, Porthcawl is popular for its outdoor pursuits and surfing is a way of life for many here. If you’ve never experienced it, try one of our local, well reviewed surf schools. If you prefer to unwind with a round of golf, make the most of one of our many local clubs, inclduing the picturesque Royal Porthcawl, with superbly maintained greens. The Royal Porthcawl was described as being one of the twelve finest golf courses. The status of the course is sustained by the many prestigious professional and amateur events held at the club over the years**.

If you wish to explore a little further afield, head inland in to the heart of South Wales and the surrounding valleys which have great historical significance. We have beautiful footpaths that will take you around the valleys or you could opt for the wooded areas of Neath with its mesmerising array of waterfalls.

There are two National Parks, Pembrokeshire and the Brecon Beacons, as well as smaller country parks closer to Porthcawl (like Margam and Bryngarw) so the outdoors can be enjoyed in any way that suits you!

As well as the fabulous coast and countryside, we also have the vibrant city of Swansea city and the capital city of Cardiff nearby. With fabulous high streets, vibrant nightlife, and the attractions of Cardiff Bay, Swansea Marina, the Gower and Mumbles, there really is something for everyone! With the Millennium Stadium and Liberty Stadium hosting national and international football and rugby matches, Porthcawl is an ideal place to stay.

Fabulous holiday rental. Spacious, up market and in a wonderful location near the seafront and bars and shops. Stayed for the Elvis festival weekend and had a truly awesome time. Couldn't recommend enough, and will be booking again for next year
