The villa has WIFI access, TV, DVD and iPod Docking Station. Porters Gate also has a communal pool and a tennis court. A newly opened Spa is located next to the Pool House offering beauty treatments.We provide complimentary maid service before arrival and upon your departure but our local Property Manager would be able to arrange for maid service during your stay,at your expense, should you wish, along with assisting you with any other questions and advise. You will be met at the property upon your arrival.Guests are requested to vacate the property by 12 noon on the day of departure and arrivals are welcome from 430pm, these are negotiable, dependent on bookings, by contacting the owner. For environmental reasons and to be in keeping with the island of Barbados, our guests are encouraged to use the Air Conditioning wisely, we charge £25.00 per 100 units used, an average usage would be £50.00 per week if used wisely, this will be deducted from the £100.00 deposit paid at time of booking and the residual amount will be refunded to you upon your return home. Our Property Manager will take a meter reading upon arrival and departure..

The villa has parking to the front of the property and a private secluded garden to the rear. For your added comfort and security, all windows and doors are fitted with security bars and the property is also fitted with an alarm.Please note the development does not provide any form of supervision, so caution must therefore be taken at all times, especially with younger children in the pool and surrounding areas, as the home owner does not accept liability.Guests are requested to vacate the property by 12 noon on day of departure and arrivals are welcome from 430 pm, these are negotiable dependent on bookings, by contacting the owner.
Our aim is to ensure that your stay at our villa in Barbados is as peaceful and tranquil as the Island itself. You will be met at the property, on arrival by our Property Manager, Rachel, who will make sure you are familiar with the house and all its features. We offer a maid service prior to your arrival and upon departure but should you require additional maid service during your stay, Rachel will arrange that at a reasonable additional cost, along with any other information, advise or help you may need. All linen, towels and beach towels are also provided. Guests are requested to vacate our home by 12 noon on day of departure. Our home will be available for guests at 430 on arrival day. These are negotiable, depending on our bookings and we will endeavour to accommodate your individual requests.We recommend Stoutes Car hire and can provide all contact details for you or there are taxis available at the airport arrivals area and will cost 58 BDS which is approximately £20.00
The Saint James Parish region
The Parish of St James on the Platinum Coast, is often referred to as the playground of the rich and famous , but it has so much more depth. It was here that the first British settlers landed in 1625, under the reign of King James and named it 'Jamestown', now latterly known as Holetown. Not only noted for its spectacular beaches, Holetown is now home to The Limegrove Lifestyle Centre, a shopping centre full of restaurants, cafes, bars and leading designer boutiques, including, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren and Burberry to mention a few. Directly opposite Limegrove you will find 1st and 2nd Street, the heart of Holetowns nightlife,not to be missed.
Holetown also has historical attractions including the St James Parish Church and the Portvale Sugar Factory, one of the few operational on the island.
For those Golfers, there are numerous world famous courses in the area including Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland and the renowned Kensington Oval for Cricket lovers. Barbados has a long association with Polo which takes place at Apes Hill and Holders. Holders also has a weekly Farmers Market every Sunday, offering amazing organic local produce and local Arts and Crafts. The area is renowned for its varied water sports to include snorkelling and diving on nearby reefs and at the Marine Park, sailing, waterskiing and jet skiing . Island tours are readily available to visit such attractions as Harrisons Cave and the local Rum Distillary.
There are fresh fish markets, within a short drive and a large supermarket in the centre of Holetown. Should you choose to not hire a car, there is a bus stop at the end of the road, to take you anywhere on the Island.
Our villa, in the small exclusive gated community of Porters Gate, Porters is ideally situated six minutes walk from the beautiful unspoilt local beach; a short drive from the white sand beaches of Mullins to the north and both Sandy Lane and Paynes Bay to the south. Approximately 1km to the south of Porters Gate is the centre of the Platinum Coast, Holetown, which hosts banks, petrol station, cinema, supermarket, the exclusive brand new Limegrove Shopping Mall, gift shops , boutiques, pharmacy and medical centre. Holetown also has a wonderful choice of restaurants, bars and nightlife.

"The perfect location for chilling out and enjoying local hospitality"
Actually this was my second trip to the property, I love being near to Hole Town's excellent shops and night life ( especially Friday night and Sundays on 2nd Street). I feel the beaches on this coastline are the best on the island with the benefit of palm trees, calm blue seas, funky beach bars and swimming off the beach to see the turtles. There are amazing restaurants very close by....but then nothing is actually too far in any direction, so this house makes a great starting point to investigate the whole of the island. The house is beautifully decorated and perhaps has the nicest and most private location within this development, apart for the sound of the local wildlife it is really quiet, being away from main roads. The house has a very calming feel, possibly because of the gentle colour schemes and the thoughtful and tasteful presentation, I feel like its a bit of a home from home. Every little detail has been considered. I love the outdoor covered area which is an extension of the living space with boutique style furnishing. This lounging space takes me through from leisurely breakfast to an evening bbq. I am going back again at the end of the year, and am really looking forward to it. One of the bonuses is that friends and family were also able to rent in neighbouring properties, which was lovely for a group holiday. The main pool and tennis court was very popular, for those feeling energetic in the sun ( not me!) Thank you and looking forward to next time ....
